You can say he doesn't fit us etc... But atleast make an effort to press or some movement. When the ball is crossed half the time he isn't even in the box. Is that his playing style now?. His national team manager called him a lampost for **** sake.

Overall he was a bad signing. And that's on Liverpool. You either go the whole hog, and fit to him. Or you build without him. But Liverpool need to make that decision quickly. I know what my answer would be, but then I wouldn't have signed him anyway.

There I can agree. On both counts.

And after what, 17/18 mins combined against Arsenal and Utd, along with being the only senior pro rolled out twice with the kids against a League Two side; I'm pretty sure Klopps made that decision already.

Keep forgetting to mention .....

Hearing a lot there's a bit of a power struggle going on over where we go pre-season. Boston has the money spinner US Tour in place. Klopp doesn't want to have his pre-season disrupted by long haul travel and wants out.

One to really keep an eye on. If we do pull out of America, then there's NO question he holds SERIOUS sway within the club.

33 crosses we attempted last night. Many very good ones from Smith and Ojo in particular into the danger area. Supposedly his strength and what utter knobs like Shearer keep banging on about. Except he's stood like a ******* ***** the edge the area the vast majority of them as you noted. And when he did get on the end he was beyond wasteful.

Hoe do you work with that?

Alex Teixeira... Delegation in Florida to try and reach a deal.

I very much like that signing (if it happens)

Get Balotelli up front with him next season and build around those two I say ;)

Honestly know next to nottin' about him. (Rapidly catching up.).

But if Ayre's flown over the States, there's a **** good chance this will get done. Near £25 million official bid turned down. Reported they want upwards of £39 mill.

This will be an interesting day.

Not least being as Chelsea by all accounts really wanted him and we've heard yet again from Chelsea fans here recently that we can't compete with the (stop laughing at the back) perceived 'bigger' clubs.

Teixeria is a great player, but he's another attacking midfielder. Do we really need him? I would prefer a striker.

My exact thoughts. If we are letting one of our AMs go then its ok, as long as its not Cou

Again, I honestly know jack about him shy of what I'm caching up on this AM. But he appears to do one thing our absolutely pathetic group of midfielders (no other way to put it) haven't done this year. Score goals. And score them for fun.

I'll happily add that right here, right now and add a top notch striker the summer to (hopefully) partner the one we already have who'll (even more hopefully) finally be ready to go after this wasted year and a full pre-season next summer.

Form his fm stats he is more like a F9 type of player, a faster version of firminho.

Regular signing for me each year on FM, haha.

Seen him 5-10 times perhaps and really like him as a player. It may be the Ukrainian League but his goalscoring stats are fantastic as well.

He has been playing alot more advanced this season which is the main reason his goalscoring has improved so much

I am happy with the idea of Firmino and Teixeira switching roles with Coutinho behind

Apparently he has 22 goals in 15 games this season. He is in the Ukrainian league though

apparently this is true, he genuinely has pulled his hamstring the curse of LFC as the minute

Now Shaktar have responded with this:

Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu has said that Alex Teixeira is not injured and was rested for the friendly yesterday. Conflicting reports.

Excellent player, but genuinely baffled by Liverpool's interest in him. Where exactly do they expect him to play?

At a guess interchanging with Firmino up top (for now) or either just in behind or wide of that.

From what I'm discovering of him it opens up a whole host of possibilities right across the front line. Both right now in terms of MUCH needed goals. And going forward when we ultimately have two up top which I think he wants.
