Oh for the blinkered view that only sees one hard done to side of discourse.

Uncannily a common theme when you happen to be on that side of the fence.

I find this whole debate utterly boring and seemingly based purely on speculation, although I admit I haven't bothered to read every post in its entirety. But that's just me I guess.

(Before someone says "it's not speculation, this **** happens": I'm not denying that. But that it's happening in this case? That's speculation)

Oh yeah, the point wasn't to look into the magical world of advertising, more that people shouldn't be celebrating the maintenance of the status quo. It's good that they haven't bowed to increased prices, now let's not stop there.

no he does not so i would just leave it let them have there day in the sun

As much as I agree with your sentiment I cannot, if they need their e-***** rubbing go on an explicitly all pool forum and they can all have some e-***** circle jerk. I have been moaning for ages that too much of this rhetoric has made its way to base, the only way it stops is if you debunk the rhetoric with reason.

Point in case.

Forgetting about the ticket prices, I am actually looking forward to the weekend with the likes of Coutinho, Origi and Sturridge in contention

Think we may see something like this: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure (I'd prefer Lucas), Sakho, Moreno, Milner, Can, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino

Meaning Sturridge, Benteke and Origi all as options from the bench

Absolutely. I'd still like to see the likes of Smith out there. But those increased attacking options is something Klopp's not had his entire time here.

Please dear Lord don't let anyone else go down injured anytime soon.

Point in case.

This isn't even funny anymore, tell you what, please Mods if you think I have been abusive please infract me and I will take it on the chin, I think I have been quite reasonable offering an explanation on why this so called U-turn is not unprecedented. Then I get called abusive, no less by someone who is quick to hurl insults at anyone who dare not agree with his POV

The mind ******* boggles, but please lets deflect attention away from my previous valid point its a recurring theme...

Valid? You're accusing one side (not this has **** all to do with sides) of being abused. Yet completely turning a blind eye to anything said the other way.

I say you have a blinkered view. (On the above.). You then proceed to rant about L'pool fans wanting their, what was it, 'collective e-*****' rubbing and you not standing for it like some sort of Internet crusader. (All because you happen to disagree.).

Insults at you in the PL thread? i appreciate you were bevied up that night but go look at your own posts there. Nobody was anymore 'insulting' than anyone else.

It's just a convenient thing to throw out. Again.

'Deflecting' away. Yeah, the mind certainly does boggle.

And come to that, who exactly have I insulted over ticket pricing? Calling subtle bitter? Is that your big gripe? (Which would be ironic being you brought up the other Sat'day. Started by you accusing me of being bitter toward Leicester.).

No see you are either twisting the point to pick out what you want or flat out just not getting it.

Whether or not I agree with the view you share of this whole ticketing "debacle/U-turn" is irrelevant. That is not the issue here, you want to believe that your club is doing its best by the supporters, or that this is not PR or whatever that's not what is up for debate. Its the fact that we are trying to have a debate but you are just not engaging, and rubbishing quite valid points with rhetoric or personal insults.

Maybe I should have worded the e-***** post better on my end, but what I am getting at is Base used to be a place for debate without people strawmanning, insulting and people where pretty accepting of other peoples views. So whilst I may not agree with your outlook, I am pretty sure that in my first post on this subject I said I hoped that this protest worked out as a football fan or words to that effect (I am paraphrasing here).

I then showed you numbers that didn't add up, you say its all speculative at this point, thing is if it is speculative then if we are having a reasoned debate then that nullifies your point as much as mine?

You then call it unprecedented I give you physical evidence that it is not and instead of a reasoned response I get called blinkered etc, you see this is the stuff that I take issue with. Hence the circle jerk post, Like I say I maybe should have worded that better, but what a couple of pages back you called Kitchen out for what he said about your opinion. You cannot call someone out like that then when I offered a reasoned response call me blinkered etc. That is what I am taking exception to here.

I responded to Kitchen for the same ******* thing as you keep doing.

Seeing one 'side' supposedly being hard done to when if anything thats been flying all ways.

But hey, he's now come out with the classic 'let them have their day in the sun.' So we know where his views clearly stemmed from.

It's pathetic epic. (Is that abuse?). You're doing everything you accuse others of. You go so far then flip it round to something it's not. And again. you being called blinkered had absolutely ZERO to do with any of your views on the ticketing issue. It was your selective viewing of who was perceived to be abused and who wasn't.

Now are we going to let this lie or go around in another tawdry back and forth?

*Edit* Although I would like to know where all these 'personal' insults are. Curious minds and all that.

This is sad, we could have had a great debate on club PR, ticketing, supporters losing power etc, but instead it devolves to this ****, one of these days I am just going to logout of base and not bother logging back in.

Do mods still roam this forum?

Everyone just needs to chill out. It's a touchy subject talking about your club and it's finances.

Mods shouldn't be needed really, none of us are children.

I've been trolling the web since before internet was publicly available (phoned in BBS servers ~1993) and this is the most civilized non-moderated forum I've ever seen.

You people need to pull the stick out of your ***** and replace it with **** beads for some good vibes.

I second that. In fact, I've only once (as I can remember anyway) been "flamed" on this forum, and that was by you! I forgive you though, since I'm so awesome.

Can't wait for Sturridge to prove everyone wrong (provided he stays fit).

Absolutely ridiculous talk that any Liverpool fan would want to sell him. Complete game changer for us.
