Talking of ..... You see they moved up from the plazzy flags (must be knackered now), to freebie scarfs Sat'day? XD.

Some stayed behind.

Meh. Cup final (or was that a semi? I forget) handed out **** by the FA is what it is. They're so out of touch they think putting free gimmicks on seats will add to the 'showbiz spectacle' of a final. Just the way a fan needs to be patronised .....

Still wouldn't be waving them like. The plazzy bags were bad enough to hold up the FL put on seats for the mural's the league cup final the other week.

Actual clubs doing that though ......

I didn't hold the plastic bag up at the time but I guess it looked okay.

Just saw Chris Kirkland outside a dominos. Got a selfie with him. Legend!!

At Wembley that mate. Would've preferred a free away shirt in attempt to create some sort of atmosphere from our **** fans. (H)

What kind of shirts mate? The one worn by your King Kenny? ;)

I did FWIW. But a plazzy bag football league? Seriously?

Kirkland was on our plane to Istanbul. Real strange one that. We're waiting to board at Speke, and he tips up for the flight. Monarch I think it was. We're like 'Figging **** Chris lad. Shouldn't yers be there already with the team?' ..... Turned out Rafa was being Rafa, wasn't speaking to him after falling out with him, and he was having to pay his own f-ing way to watch the club that still employed him in the Champions League final! He must of sorted something as he managed to get on the pitch at the end for the celebrations but that was the type of **** Benitez could be if he fell out with yer.

You! Norweigeny persony thingie! Barer of wondrous news. I could kiss you! (In a purely super excited brotherly way!). You ROCK!

There's been rumours of this for a while (along with FSG selling up) but I didn't buy it. This is BRILLIANT news. I'd like to think he's jumped before he was pushed. (And that 'push' has been LONG overdue.). Maybe the walkout was the final straw? Him telling Boston not to worry, it wouldn't be more than a thousand divvy's; then seeing half the frigging main stand stream out past him must of had his **** totally going!

But having kept him this long, probably not.

But regardless of how it happened, if they do intend to stay, this is the next best step for FSG when it comes to fan relations.

Go see if your grass is greener gobshite!

Haha, thanks (I think).

Apparently FSG tried to convince him to stay on, but he refused. And the decision was made "months ago", so I don't think the whole ticket situation played a part. But who knows.

But tbh I didn't realize the hate for him was that strong.

One thing people shouldnt forget though is his work when turning around the disaster after H&G. It would be horribly disingenious to whitewash that out

John Henry personally asked him to stay, decision make 5 months ago.

Oh, from the club's POV, he's perfect. He's a ruthless businessman who makes money. From that aspect he's done them proud.

From a fan standpoint, who he's foolishly on record as hating even though he claims to be one, he's been an absolute ****house.

Yeah that's my impression as well. On the financial and commercial side he's done a pretty decent job, at least as far as I know.

The club would have been reeling for years without his work. Love him or hate him, but respect what he did in helping save a broken club (financially) post H&G

Wait, what?

I forget who he was talking to a whiles back, but he's out there as 'disliking' fans and their views and they should be happy to pay whatever the price is to see the team.

That turned people even more against him.

Of course he's backtracked and tried to reverse that totally ever since.

Still can't believe he wasn't sacked after Kazan when the pictures of him with the brasses were all over the net. Getting ****** and partying with hookers on club time away is bad enough. (Something he regularly did/ does on Euro aways. Partying the night away.). But to then take the very same two girls to the frigging game and have them sat either side of him was the ultimate **** take.

Good riddance.
