Im more excited in us signing Chillwell then any of our other targets. Huddersfield fans were raveing about how good he was at 18, apparently he was their best player in the 8 or so games he played. Only being called back to cover for Fuchs. The one game i watched him was the spurs Cup game and again he was good, albeit he made a mistake for the goal. What I dont get is people knocking signings despite never seeing said player even kick a ball. All this call for marquee signings have gotten the club no were. Have a little bit of faith Marshall, we have Klopp in charge now not the fraud that came before him.
 
What's encouraging/ exciting me about Chilwell, and like everyone else I'd imagine I've never seen him play, is the fact Klopp's bezzie had him at Huddersfield. Who by all accounts has Huddersfield playing exactly the same way as ourselves. The results have been mixed but the performances have improved tenfold apparently from when he took over.

So you'd imagine he's really recommended the kid as one for the future who will fit straight in to how we play.

News today we've had a £7.5 million (5 plus add ons) turned down as Leicester want £10 mil. Pay it if we believe in his potential. This time next year if we don't and he maybe has a great season you're suddenly looking at Luke Shaw silly money.

Now if we can add Hector and bin Moreno as well .....

Ended up in my mates. Sitting there in my top while he's wearing Italian. Practically t-bagged him when it went in, ******* mental mate. Wish I'd of went to town now. What a night!!

Re-watching it with the titanic theme over is genuinely getting me emotional.

Westervelds mate! Saw it watching a match from 2000 and I had the shirt as a yougster, proper brought Nostalgia back. Loved it mate, constantly wore it even though I was an outfield player, despite my dad kicking off when I had my trials at Wigan. "There'll ******* stick you in goal, where's your Gerrard top?"

God. You know I was thinking of his mistake at Bolton when Houllier finally dropped him after the Super Cup final 2001 when I posted that so **** knows where Jerzy came from. Complete brain/ hand disconnect. *Hangs head.

As ***** as the big Dutch fella' was, even he was better than Mingolet!
 
Looks like Burnley have been compliant in agreeing to flipping the second game of the season to Turf Moor. Thank you to them. Greatly appreciated with the ongoing building work.

So a start of three straight aways at Arsenal, Burnley and Tottenham, followed by Leicester at home and Chelsea away. With Utd home three games later.

This season will be determined the first 8 games. We either hit the ground running, or we go the other way and lose 2 or 3 to all but end any challenge before it's begun.

Makes this pre-season's preparations all the more vital.

Haha I loved him mate. I remember his long kicks he'd practice before the game. It'd go into the fans behind the opposite ******* goal.

LOL. Funny story. The summer we signed him, we snuck in a dead late friendly before the season started against City at Main Road. So late it was pay on the gate. Half full. Laid back, can't be arsed dead quiet atmosphere in the sun. It was basically kids and Sander. Anyway, first time most of us had ever seen him live, and he's bombing it down the other end, kicks and throws, and Mellor was up front and not getting anywhere near them. This fella' stands up and shouts dead loud ''Kinel lad! Don't ******* kick it that far. He's not Linford f-ing Christie like!' ..... And Westerveld turns around, stares at him, walks back toward us behind the goal and shouts back 'The lazy little **** will be after a few games with me!' .... To great hilarity. Endeared himself to us from the get go.

He was still **** like lol. But still WAY better than Mingolet!

Haha brilliant. I remember his red card in the derby after a fight with Francis Jeffers, who started giving **** to the fans as he was walking down the tunnel. The original Funes Mori ladies and gents. We lost 1 nil that game, think it was the last time Everton won at Anfield.

I'd take a retired Westerveld over Mignolet lol

The latest in a long line of young blue 'heroes' at the time that was 'the new Michael Owen. But better!' ...... Except he wasn't and was just as ***** as the likes of Billy Kenny and Danny Cadamatreri.

Sold as soon as a bid came in, failed at Arsenal, and now keeps getting knocked back during trials for lower league clubs.

After he failed at Arsenal he was accepted back by the Everton fans on loan in true Everton style, akin the Pieenar saga.

Say you're better than the club, force a move, fail, come back to open arms.

We do not choose, we are chosen. ******* got that right mate. XD

England facing the migthy Iceland, I can't wrap my head around how a country with barely 300k people made it through the group.

If I was on a PC and not a tab I'd link you the vid of the Iceland commentator going beyond batshit crazy when they scored on overtime, that **** was hilarious. I honestly hope they beat England, we all know England won't win the Euros anyway so let Iceland's adventure continue!
