See the one man you're forgetting there .... Mane! Yeah, great options.

I was mainly thinking that Wijnaldum, Coutinho and Firmino were sort of similar in style/changeable. But yeah, Mane is another awesome option with how he can make space on the wing where I think he is best. Don't see Mane playing AMC this season really.

Could be a bit lightweight in the middle right now though.

Sorry, thought you were looking at the attacking midfield three plus Sturridge. Of which Mane looks nailed on to be the right of.

Unsure how Klopp is going start - Always a good dilemma to have I suppose.

He seemed to really like Lallana towards the end of the season but his place seems up in the air all of a sudden. Personally it would be Mane-Firmino-Coutinho-Sturridge

Lallana, Wijnaldum, Milner or Henderson, Origi, Ings all on the bench.. Fantastic options and rotation to have

I think the idea is we'll have a settled back 4 and 'keeper that will rarely change giving us that base to build off, with Can and whomever in front for the protection. Then the forward and attacking three midfielders are all interchangeable dependent on the opposition, injury, atigue etc. At least that's how it looks and what he mainly seemed to do in Germany.

Sure is a heck of an exciting prospect though to think of the goal potential in the side now. This added speed as well should in theory open things up a lot more for Phil and Bobby Firmino to do their thing in more space. As we know, if Coutinho got consistency, there's very few better. Don't know if you caught Pele saying he rates him the highest of all Brazil's young talent technically which is one **** of a thing to say. Even for Pele who likes to big everyone up.

Not looked forward to a season as much as this in eons. Probably back to Kenny's first go-around. 2005 came out of nowhere and the league season was that poor you really didn't expect a serious challenge. And the year after 13/14, we're down Suarez and still had that historically bad defence which combined didn't fill you with hope that would kick on. Maybe after Rafa finished a close second to Utd. But then he reverted back to type and shut up shop so that optimism was gone quickly. Now, there's genuine optimism that we can seriously contend. And do it in one heck of an exciting way.

Two starts. Three assists. One of England's most dangerous attacking threats. So of course Boothroyd put's Ojo on the bench for the U-19's Euro semi against Italy starting in 10 minutes.

England. Be it The Hodge, Boothroyd or now Allardyce, you couldn't make it up.

England deservedly got beat 2-1. Ojo 'officially' with 4 assists through 4 games. (2 starts.). Although it was a comical oggie off the Italians shoulder for the English goal today. Came on way too late. Looked England's best attacking threat again when he did on both wings.

Added bonus that England have qualified for next year's U-20 WC by reaching this stage so a good chance of some more excellent experience for the developing boys.

Very good tournament and very good experience for Sheyi who now fly's straight out to America so that's a bonus for L'pool to have him join the start the US training camp having used this tourney for his early pre-season work.

Georginio Wijnaldum having medical at Liverpool training ground

Scouse did you watch that Italy England U21 game?

Just wondering if you noticed Locatelli for Italy?

Supposed to be a good player, CM at Milan but I've not seen him play yet

(just googled it but it came up with teams from years ago, 2007, some class players here! England U21 3 - 3 Italy U21 - Match Report & Highlights )
Very good CM. Can defo see him being a star in the future. Good technique passing and composure. Heard good things about him and that lad who scored the Peno can't remember his name :)

Yeah every Milan fan that I've seen speak of him say similar things, just wondered if he stood out at all for Italy today.

Still only 18 so will probably be 3+years before hes used more than 4 games a season in the league lol

I had it on in small window the corner the screen so wasn't really paying much attention until Sheyi came on, but to be honest Vanoli, as he was as a player, is an old school Italian coach and they're beyond defensive. They've managed to get through 4 games and reach a final without scoring a goal from open play which is quite impressive. If boring as f to watch. So it'd be hard to judge him regardless. One who has stood out is the captain, Romanga from those ***** in Turin. Don't know if you caught a conversation the United thread recently about City and Bonucci. Romania, along with Rugani, is a massive reason why I don't think they'd have a problem selling if the price was right. As much as I hate them, Juve have some fantastic young centre backs coming through yet again that will be the main stays of both they and the National team.

Locatelli made his debut the end of last season didn't he? (Forget against who.). But then Calabria did the previous year and hardly got any minutes under the Inter man when he should have so I wouldn't hold out much hope. If Berlusconi wasn't so in love with Donnarumma he'd of probably still been in the Primarvera too.

Even better than first thought: Wijnaldum will have Liverpool medical on Friday - Liverpool Echo

£23 million down plus a possible £2 million in add-ons. In today's market for one of those rarity's, a midfielder that scores double figures a season, that's a snip.

WELL happy with this addition.
Well that means Coutinho is off then. No way can we have all those attacking mids vying for only three positions. I doubt Wijnaldum came to play as backup. Really baffled with this signing as most Newcastle fans are glad he is gone as he didnt bother to turn up when they needed him most. Last thing we need is more players who have no bottle. Just think we turned to GW after the Zielinski move fell through. Meh.

Not at all.

Coutinho may go in the future but it has been almost silent thus far. The reason? He is not consistent enough for the bigger sides to justify the 45mil+ Liverpool will want

I 'think' Klopp has targeted him for his versatility and goals from midfielder. He can be used as part of a midfield 3 or in the 3 behind the striker.

He shown glimpses last season, and whilst there are concerns it was a total shitfest at Newcastle and with better players around him he could fulfil the promise he shown at PSV

we have genuine squad depth in attack for once.
