Very engrosing game.

Great wing play Lallana the goal. **** poor from the Lino with Milner well off. Then he misses a clear corner later to compound his shocking half. Swings and roundabouts I guess.

Great training ground free kick the equaliser. Though Naby switched off. Shocking miss from Rice. Having a nightmare on free kicks tonight defensively. A little too narrow. That meeds sorting half-time.

Keep working Reds. These have put a heck of a lot in. Their legs should atart to go around 60.

Waiting for Carroll winner header...

But **** that Rice guy. **** brilliant controlling the mid and passing, shame with header.

Meh, can’t win them all.

Could be 2 poimts dropped. Could be an invaluable point gained come May. We’ll find out in due course.

Credit West Ham for 90 minutes honest hard graft. What makes this league unique. 9 times out of 10 theres NO easy games.

If you can’t win, make sure you don’t get beat. And they’ve now equaled or bettered the FINAL points total of 10 of our PL seasons. At the start of February.

Lomg way to go with a lot of football left to play yet with a lot of twists for both sides.

13 more boys to immortality.

Up the Top the League Reds!

Should've went 7 clear last week, but will (probably) be in 2nd position going into Bournemouth. Interesting mental test now. Can't keep throwing this City side lifelines.

Would disagree, think City's on a big high now mentally. Pep & his squad are probably wondering "how the **** can we go 1st on Wednesday for a few days?" after the season they've had (by their own set-standards). Lost 2x more games this season already.

Offer Liverpool 2nd on GD going into Bournemouth in Feb at the start the season and they'd bite your hand off. Offer it a week ago and most would tell you to F off. All about psychology & how Liverpool respond to these slip ups and the mental annoyance of throwing City lifelines from what was an extremely strong position.

Hey, you’ve tried to convince yourself all season that we’re no threat and it’s City’s league to lose so why change now mate? ;)

Honestly I hold my hands up. I said there's more banana slips in this LFC team than City, but the noisy neighbours are currently pulling my pants down on that one, whilst you seem to be peaking and scoring more freely.

Your title to lose as it stands. I think January is an interesting window, Pep needs a DM. Thank **** he didn't get Jorginho, hope he doesn't get his paws on De Jong.

Now now mate, I practically conceded that you were probably gonna win the title 2 months ago the way it was going.

City looked really shaky, and even though (imo) LFC have slightly flattered to deceive most of the season (whilst still winning), they looked like they were beginning to peak going into the New Year, United/Fergie-esque. I honestly didn't see anything else but you lot maintaining/stretching an advantage over our noisy neighbours going into 2019, and I think looking at Leicester/West Ham/Bournemouth etc. vs. City's fixture list, most ladies & gents would've thought the same.

Like I said, would've bitten arm off for this position in August, it's just handling this negative mental swing when you consider you could've been 7 clear last week but maybe behind going into Bournemouth.

They’d not dropped a point in 16 games against a non-top 6 side until the end of January. Which was beyond ridiculous and was always going to end. So now they drop 4 in 2 games. Or pick up 2 vital ones. We won’t know which until May. With all but 3 of the last 13 against non-top 6 sides. And 2 of those 3 at home.

We’ve chased from behind. We’ve lead. The same as City. And we’re still sat 3 clear with City dropping more than ourselves to this point.

Point being thete’s no greater pressure either way to me which has been born out to this point. Both sides will feel it. Both sides will drop more points. With Eurooe about to re-enter the mix to boot.

39 points still up for grabs. With next to nothing to split the top 2. LONG way to go.

BTW, is this where we have a Zz/ Anthony-esq hissy fit and accuse people of trolling/ fishing/ trying to stir up trouble et al in another teams thread as we migjt not agree?

Or do we just carry on discussing respectfully like mature adults?

Asking for a friend.

I only came on here for a pick me up from you scouse lol. Absolutely devastated after that abysmal performance feels like dejavu.

Top the league d with another invaluable point toward the end goal.

We’ve had FAR worse nights.

True but not going to expect the blueshite to do us any favour

Oh God yeah. Already well wrote that off as a ‘free’ win for City. Not only do I not know any blue who doesn’t want anything but an Everton loss (as seriously F up as that is), Silvas Everton are just horrible at football.

So sound. We’ll be joint top having played a game less.

Been in way worse positions than that February the last 30 years.

Although to read the reactionary idiots all over social media, you wouldn’t think so.

Give a gobshite a platform and all that.

Irony of the seriously F up mind.

Evertonians today trying veinly to skit yers for ‘bottling’ the league .....

..... Then in the next breath saying they hope City beat them 5 tomorrow.

Never change boys. Never change.

Before the Ev inevitably lay down tonight for an easy City win, and the last 48 hours nonsense gets hyped up that little bit more, seems a pertinent time to add some realism to proceedings.

Perception.

Since City beat L’pool the start of January, they’ve pulled back 1 point over 4 games.

Over the last 10 games-

City have dropped 12 points. L’pool 7.

City have lost to 3 teams outside of the top 6. L’pool have drawn with 2 of them.

Yet because of those draws coming the last 2, L’pool are, ‘apparently’, not coping with the pressure and are no longer the bookies favourites. With reactionary bellends, AKA on-line L’pool ‘fans’, all over social media madly losing their collective ****. Whilst opposition fans are taking the P out of the side who are in the position they all crave to be in.

Perception is a funny thing.

Mad windy day still which doesn’t bode well for a game of togger.

Still, fully expect these record setting Reds to heap even more pressure on the chasing City before their biggie tomorrow.

Hopefully we don’t get a repeat of the anxious, nervy nature of the crowd we’ve had the last 2. Understanable after nigh on a 30 year wait but far from needed. This is the best L’pool side anyones ever seen to this point in a season. And one of the best in English top flight history period. We want them to keep playing their part, as they have so magnificently all season, we need to keep playing ours and help them home when they need us the most.

Relish them and enjoy it. For we may never see a L’pool side this consistently brilliant again.

Up the ‘Shouting our Souls onto the Pitch’ Reds!
