Who's dissing him? The man led us back from the wilderness and left Slot a competitive team and more. Slot singing his name at the end was beautiful and a full circle moment.
Lots of pundits, news reporters and a few ex players In the build up. Saying Klopp couldn’t improve the players enough. Klopp style of football wasn’t right to win you titles regularly. Slots made these players better in a way Klopp couldn’t reach. Slots ability to adapt of Klopp the reason Liverpool can win multiples in a row and so on

I need to collect all my thoughts after a whirlwind 48 hours. Maybe when I finally sober up. 😂 (Praise the Lord I booked today off haha.).

But a quick thought for now-

Yesterday was the day. The Palace game will be great. The parade will be great. But yesterday was the one. Unscripted. Just off the cuff celebrating and emotion between us and the players. From the mini Dua Lipa rave that’s become our staple. Through all the players getting their individual time in the spotlight with their individual songs sung. To Arne superbly remembering the man who made all this possible and rebuilt the best squad in England by a Country mile. R Jurgen. R mate. A man who is proper one of us. These are the days. And yesterday was the key one that will live in your memory forever. And as much as I loved it for us, I loved it for this generation that got to experience it for the first time. And that generation spans the age gap. From the young lad under 10 to my right behind me. To my mates lad Adam experiencing his first title live at 27. After I’ve shared 3 of my 6 others together with his Dad, who’s currently away with the misses, live. Something really cool in that for me.
Anyway, I seriously need some sleep if I’m to go in to work tomorrow in any fit state so I’ll pop back out after another mad, but brilliant day on the ale celebrating as only we can.

Up the ‘Back on our F Perch!’ Reds!

Looking forward to Chelsea’s guard of honour tomorrow. Something deliciously sweet it being them.

‘ ….. Bring On The Champions! …..’

35 years since we’ve had a chance to sing that before a game. Missed it.

Just looking at the fixtures tomorrow …… Utd also in West London at Brentford ….: Just what the bleep were the Met thinking there?!!!!! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

At least with Euston shut there’s less chance of coming across them.

Slot deserves an apology for people questioning why he plays Diaz as the 9 this season. Darwin and especially Jota are so off the pace he legit has no other choice.

Still surprised to have it finally confirmed but fair F's to him. Brilliant way to leave that and a mark of the humble man he's always been and is.

Not into this tainted S at all. Trent will always be an absolute LEGEND of the Klopp era for me. One of Jurgens most important pieces and one of the single best footballers, never mind right fulls, we've ever had the pleasure of entertaining us in Red. A man who absolutely runs games of football from right full with more ability in his wrong foot than most natural number 10's could ever dream of. Absolute generational talent who's served us to the fullest. Cost us absolutely nothing. Leaving for absolutely nothing. Break even there. And he's more than paid his salary back over the years all the trophies and money he's brought into the club. Before you even get into all the work he's done within the City and all the time and money he's given to different projects/ charities. Often unheralded as he's never sought the limelight

Trent won't be the first person to leave this City for new opportunities. And he most assuredly won't be the last. He's dedicated 20 years of his life to this football club and the City it represents. If that's not a legacy commitment and then some I don't know what is! All the very, very best to him.

Proper Scouse Red for me it's been an absolute privilege to watch in our colours.

Madrid are getting a generational talent in the mould of Roberto Carlos and Marcello. I can’t see anything bar him absolutely thriving there with all the World class attacking talent he has to supply. For all the nonsense about his defending, that's not what Madrid, like Jurgen, crave in their FB's who for decades now have been a major part of there attacking arsenal. Real is an absolute dream move to really cerement his legacy at two mammoth clubs as an all time World football great. And prolong his career in the process in a much less physical league after all the Klopp miles in his legs.

As for the future, how exceptionally blessed are we that the 'next man up', just happens to be another Academy grad who is Northern Irelands regular, full International captain. And one of the best young full backs in the PL.

From one Academy grad to another. The legacy continues.

💣

Man alive I’d forgotten over these past 35 years, just how awesome it is to go away, not care a jot about the actual game/ result, and just revel in being what we are. The best team by a Country mile in the whole land. Premier League Champions 2024/‘25.

We’ve talked many times on these here pages about the MASSIVE difference/ disconnect between the white noise on-line. And the views within the City/ at the match. And reading SM today, it’s there again in glorious technicolour. In the former, you have the utter madness of people not only actually trying to dissect an absolute non-event game of football from a Liverpool perspective. But worse, slate L’pool for losing/ slam players not A. All of which is in direct contrast to the 95 minute solid party in the away end yesterday where nobody was REMOTELY bothered by the result or any individual performance. An away end that was laughing, smiling, and non-stop singing and dancing. Having a brilliant time celebrating our magnificent team. Celebrating being champions and letting Chelsea constantly know that.

The whole purpose as a supporter the final 4 games is to celebrate what the first 34 achieved. Revelling in being champions for the 20th time. It doesn’t matter one jot if we don’t get another point this season. Seriously! We did the hard graft prior to yesterday to now allow us to just sit back and enjoy the heck out of the spoils of that.

To even attempt to analyse yesterday is the most asinine thing imaginable. 🤦‍♂️ You have, in one corner, a group of players in blue fighting for CL football next season. Desperately needing 3 points. Playing against a club they absolutely detest, who they’ve just had to give a guard of honour to on their own pitch. For Chelsea, the game MATTERED! And in the other corner, you have a group of players in Red for whom the match didn’t matter a jot! And it showed. Because they’ve totally earned the right for it not to matter a F jot by how phenomenally good they’ve been through the season up to that point! They lost yesterday, and they are STILL 15 points clear of anyone else! 5 games! And you want to nark about the game? REALLY? Each to their own, but it’s proper weird to me how people would do that and not just let the party that started Tottenham roll and roll. 🤷‍♂️

As yesterday wasn’t one for negatives, things I absolutely loved-

I loved that Chelsea fans were seething having to give us a guard of honour. And I loved that every goal they scored was drowned out by partying Scousers not A. I loved that every sub who came out to warm up in front of us was being serenaded, before their individual song was sung, with being reminded what they are. A Champion. I loved how they ALL buzzed off that. Not least at the final whistle when they were all dancing and loving the acclaim in front of their adoring public. Konate was dancing like a mad man haha. I loved that, intentionally or not, Chiesa turned and clapped us wildly at the part of his banger song which tells Juve to F off as he’s a Kopite now! Perfect timing. 😂 I loved that Lavia, after he decided to be an A coming off in front of us trying to skit us. got reminded that he could have been a champion now if he’d joined the right club! I love that the chorus to the new Arne Slot banger song really took off and had us bouncing as it boomed out over and over. I loved that I didn’t get in until half 1, having had to come back on the train up the Leeds line before driving back down the ‘62 from there, with Euston being shut and direct trains home not possible. And not feeling tired at all. Just still buzzing off the first of 21 aways between yesterday and the end of next season letting everyone know what we are. CHAMPIONS! Everything we were deprived of 5 years ago.

Keep injecting this into my veins and keep this big A grin on my face all summer. I’d rather they didn’t like, but L’pool can lose all three games left for all I or anyone else there yesterday cares. We’ll revel in our magnificent team of champions regardless and party on until we drop!

If you aren’t on the highest of highs just revelling and partying through these games regardless of what happens on the pitch, you are proper doing this the wrong way. This is what we’ve earned. This is our right.

*On loop going around my head …..

De De Der, De De Der; De De Der, De De Der; De De Der, De De Der; He won us #20 and his name is Arne Slot!’

Up the ‘Proper earned the right to coast and be in party mode’, 20 time English Champion Reds!
