Loving watching Arne's PSV presser just then. Proper accountability. Proper leadership. But this line struck me-
'“ ..... But I’m also working at a club, if there was ever a club you need to face this, maybe this is the best to face it, because the harder it gets, the more we are together, the more we are trying to achieve the things that Liverpool usually achieves .....”
Is right Arne lad. We’re in this together mate and totally behind you and the boys. We’ve been in FAR worse situations than this. With FAR worse managers and players, who haven’t had anything like the trauma and upheaval you lads have, and still are, dealing with.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow as Europe doesn’t worry me at all. We’ve as good a chance as anyone to be in Budapest next May. Expecting a good performance and good win to all but seal top 8 tomorrow.
West Ham Sunday though …… F knows what will happen there?
Utterly mad, ridiculously bizarre times.
But we are only getting through this together. And turning on the man who won us # 20, and has been dealt a horrible hand to deal with this season. Is the very
LAST thing the actual
support at the match will do. Along with, mercifully, having owners who, over time, have come to fully understand our club and what makes the City it represents tick. And the very last thing they will do is bin off a title winning manager, who had one of the best title winning seasons in our storied history, at the first sign of adversity. Not least adversity to the levels and nature we've all had to deal with this season.
We aren't that club. No matter how much the on-line white noise screams into the void.
Arne is sound until at least the summer.
And given we aren't even a third of the season in, he may well be celebrating lifting more silverware in his first two seasons yet.
