Pretty damning from one of our former reporters and pretty much confirms everything thats been said. The last tweet about Hughes and Edwards falling on their sword is a must imo. Classic case of the peter principle with Edwards and well Hughes for me is just out of his depth.
He’s absolutely spot on. Big problems for sure!

I follow some of the players on Instagram and I couldn't believe what I was seeing in terms of jet setting 2 days before a match?!!! Countless days off training and dubai shindigs etc... For me the onus comes from the Manager who more than a year in hasn't settled into the area yet (He still goes back to the Netherlands multiple times a month).

His position right now is untenable for me but a fish rots from the head down. My personal opinion on Hughes is indifferent as he was basically a kid in a candy store and is Edwards yes man and pal. Edwards on the other hand is a man promoted beyond his station and has been a trainwreck in his current role. Watch the hit pieces start but this time he's got no Klopp to blame. Cant stand his character.

Tbh reading back through his tweets he’s not wrong on the squad. It’s not awful but it ain’t great either. I thought it was a pretty poor window for you guys in the summer. Yes the outlay was big and the names looked good on paper but not sure it was overly thought out or planned. Could see a lot of issues with some quite a few of your signings. But I guess you got to give it time.

Like Scouse said the whole oh you spent 500 million blah blah is a lazy take because we had so many out goings and needed to replace players. Wether it was thought out or not we can say with hindsight perhaps not.

A period of transition was obviously required to replace the old guard but even then you have to still maintain some form of competitive edge which we havent seen this season. Essentially, this squad is too good to be playing this bad.

It doesn’t matter tbh. The initial out lay on players is still big and looking like a poorly done window no matter how you look at it. If the squads to good. Then the manager has to go.

The dominoes falling begin...

And how would that remotely be a good thing?

We’re in contract/ squad **** currently for no stability in the role under Jurgen with first Ward, and then his German bezzie, neglecting the position and job they were hired to do.

How would more instability at well arguably the most important position on the football side be positive?

Don’t skit. Chelsea and Utd, if you want us to follow their mess.

Been a really good rallying cry from SpionKop1908, and one or two others, to get in early and have the arl’ place wild behind manager and players tonight. We know what to do. And we’re only get through this together.

Took a gamble and booked Paris after Chelsea’s first last night before everything jumps later. So don’t let us down Redmen! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Europe. It’s what we do!

I know you disagree but in my personal opinion both Edwards and Hughes to an extent are not suited to their current role and thats me being kind about the former. Therefore, the manager who imo has been let down this season with the scatter gun approach last summer if you let him go then the two above need to be replaced as they cascaded the mess.

I dont believe it will cause instability because you'd hope the people above them will pick the best people for the job as they have done previously before, because as of right now Edwards and Hughes combo does not work.

He was let down in January. Hard to say he was let down in the summer in context. Save for he never wanted Diaz to go. And he wasn’t replaced. Needed a succession plan for Andy Robbo. ✅ Needed a replacement for Trent. ✅ Needed 2 CF’s. ✅ Needed CH depth- Added Italys best young defender. Would have added Geuhi for experience until Parish **** out the last minute. You can legit argue a DM and pace wide were needed. But then they had Zubemendi until he gave back-word.

When they are healthy and firing, there’s no team in the league comes close to the top level quality in our first XI. Owen chats some proper *****. But he was bang on there. And there’s only so much you can do per window. The squad will be filled out this summer.

January was when they F up. But in the main Hughes additions have been top draw quality. And sorely needed.

May can’t come quick enough for all the WAY OTT nonsense to end this season.

Man, that second half was straight chef's kiss in terms of direct football, and lo and behold, it suits our players getting the ball back quickly and straight away on them. Granted, they was one of the worst outfits to turn up at Anfield with their time wasting tactics and inabilty to even kick a ball to a teammate. PSG and after that who knows....

How bad were Galatasaray... We are slowly running out of games despite being given lifeline after lifeline by those around us.

I feel sorry for anyone who travelled all that way down to watch that utter ****...Could have easily conceded 4 or 5, and we only score because of a massive mistake from Dunk.

Hugo comes off and we bring on Jones, and we are playing ? up top. Ramsay and Gomez on the bench, yet we finish the game out with Jones at RB.

Once again the only time we looked exciting was when Rio was on the ball. Its crazy to think if you were asked to put money on 1 Liverpool player dribbling past a play this season it would be a 17 year old kid. I wonder what the actual stats are this season for the entire team dribbling past someone, because I bet Rio is up there, despite barely playing this season
