Might be confusing the second and third season but my point still stands Rio is incredibly raw and should not go into the season as the main backup. Still dont like his representatives pushing the agenda that he shouldve been starting. Yes Gakpo was stinking up the gaff but Slot actually done right by the kid in not overplaying him. He's got so much to learn especially off the ball when at times he was a liability.
 
Again. He’s 17. Not sure what you are expecting here as he’s way ahead of his development curve already 🤷‍♂️ He’s only getting that through the experience of playing.

Really disappointed reading that last night. Not like it was vitally important we made the top 5 or anything. But F that! Put your own interests to play the WC first mate. Sound. 👍🏻🙄

Just like Mo’s scandalously insulting behaviour last season, not so much annoyed as just really let down and disappointed from lads you held in higher esteem. That you thought, given who they had their success under, were club and not ‘me’ first.

Guess that’s my naivety for still believing that exists in football.

Disappointing. To be polite.

We had had the same issue with Shaw at the last tournament. Some players sadly only in it for themselves 😡
