I intend to play this as realistically as possible as if this was a real life situation, so that basically means the following:
- No snapping up wonderkids that in real life nobody at Liverpool would of heard of.
- No outrageous tranfer fees or wages on players of staff that would happen in IRL.
- Nothing that wouldn’t fit in with a real life situation.

I have three main goals for my 1st season:
- Focus on youth players
- Get their coaching and facilities up to a world class level
- Secure champions cup Qualification

Liverpool Manager Brendan Rodgers has stepped down from Liverpool F.C. for mental health reasons. The man from Northern Ireland has resigned with immediate effect and will be taking a indefinite break from football management. The exact reasons are currently unknown as to why he has stood down but this shock announcement will be sure to cause a stir in the football world.
Liverpool F.C. has released a statement to the press saying they are sad to see Rodgers leave but wish him a swift recovery and all the best for his future endeavors.

With Rodgers exit leaving things in the lurch at Liverpool, The board is going to have some hard-hitting decisions to make. With many people clamouring for the coveted role, the Liverpool board is going to have make a decision about who they want to lead the club.

Chairman Thomas Werner sat down today with reporter Jill Roberts on the Rumours that a ex New Zealand international is being considered and thought to be among the front runners for the managerial role.

On this note SKYSport has decided to have a look at the man in question a Mr Jimmy Wells

Looking forward to seeing how you handle this one! I have been trying to figure out how to deal with Liverpool. Seems like they've toned LFC down a bit. Rather low transfer budget.

The only disagreement I have with your "real life situation" is the wonderkids part. LFC scouts seem to be scouting loads of young talent. They were apparently scouting Origi long before the world cup when everyone else heard of him. But just my 2 cents.

Can't wait to see where this goes!

Yeah I had heard the same thing and I was more referring to wonderkids in obscure leagues or regens that dont want to sign unless you pay them a huge amount of money. Young players in europe or in my scouts knowledge range are fair game.

Cheers for the comment!

Liverpool F.C. have announced Jimmy Wells as the new manager as Brendan Rodgers replacement after he stepped down. The ex-New Zealand international is reportedly delight to be given this chance and is says he is dedicated to the team and hopes to take them to glory this is Wells first managerial role and this is sure to be a giant jump for him with many claiming he doesn't have what it takes to succeed with a team like Liverpool.

Transfer Time!

My Tactics

View attachment 332661
These are the current tactics I am training the team in right now, but will probably change them later to suit any new signings I make

View attachment 332662
I am really glad to have picked up this kid I believe that he is deserving of the tag "Wonderkid" hes got some really solid physical stats and high determination which will be great for when hes ready to push into the first team. I decided to let Suso go out on loan as I don't believe I can give regular game time this season. Another person I want to sign is Derby's Will Hughes, He is a natural midfielder, but is also accomplished in defensive mid and attacking mid he is also a Liverpool supporter so would love to play for the club.

View attachment 332660
I am also hoping to sign a young defender/defensive midfielder, I've got my eye on a couple and want to continue scouting them before I decide to make any offers.
I have also gotten in a lot of new coaches and have requested to the board that the senior and youth training facilities be upgraded which thankfully were approved.

Transfer Time! contd

With my declaration of interest and the fact he is a Liverpool supporter meant I managed to sign Will Hughes for a pretty reasonable price and the fans were pleased and went so far to label the transfer as a coup.

View attachment 332644

Stark basically offered himself to me, he had a row with his manager about my supposed interest in him (even though I had never even scouted him) which if course appeared in my inbox. He was not exactly what I was looking for his vision and off the ball are lower that I would like but his teamwork and work-rate are really high and he plays multiple positions and I got him for a cut price so YaY!

So that was the good news hears the bad...

With these two new signings Joe Allen came to me and said he felt his place was under threat because of them, I (stupidly) said basically "get over it" and well he didn't take it well. Next thing I know it Tottenham shows interest and put in a non negotiable offer for 12 million I thought it over weighed up the pros and cons and decided to accepted the offer but of course the fans weren't happy because of the considered low transfer fee.

My pre-season was pretty well average, two good wins, a shock loss and a couple of draws but I consider the draw with Real Madrid very unlucky as in injury time Glen Johnson scores an own goal to leave us with a draw.

The board have announced their expectations for the coming season, I feel that all are achievable although i normally have a bad time in the FA Cup so I will probably crash out early in that my transfer budget is looking ok but since there is nobody else at the moment I want to sign ill probably adjust the budget to increase my wage allowance to allow me more flexibility in offering contracts

My first league game of the season was away against newly
promoted Burnley, I was going to come out hard and fast and hoping to score goals in the process, Burnley were planning to do the same according to the journalists. It was promising to be a ripper and boy was it!

View attachment 332635

Sturridge and Balotelli were absolutely fantastic today, with Sturridges hat trick capping things of although he got pretty tired because of it so I subbed him early. Our defending was a bit sloppy towards the end letting in two quick goal but still a wins a win and in pretty pleased with this as a season opener.

A home game against Hull is up next so hopefully we can get a win in the first home game of the season.

That I definitely agree with you on. No point in going for 20M 19 year olds. But there are some youngin's i can't wait to sign, like Balanta.

And very interesting signings you got. I hope Hughes turns out great on this team! Ive been looking at him for January. But with Allen leaving that was a good one.

I do too! Hughes has been label as one of the brightest young prospects in English football, Hes a similar sort of player to Gerrard so hopefully I can get him to tutor Hughes with success plus one of his PPM's is dictates tempo which fits in well with my tactics.

Wow, this is truly amazing. I am from Christchurch, NZ too! And I'm of Scandinavian heritage aswell and a huge Liverpool sup[port! But I get annoyed with stories on here doing the exact same thing and buying the exact same players so this is gruel great. Best story ever on here, layout is fantastic as well. Keep going as I will be following.
Cheers

Unreal! That is pretty cool. As for best story ever I have to disagree there are some way better stories on here and besides this story is still in its infancy, but thanks heaps for the praise.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with how the draw turned out its not the easiest of groups but definitely not the hardest, i feel I've a good chance of getting past the group stages and into the knockout round.

View attachment 332483A good start to the season, given that I could have much tougher fixtures to deal with, I'm pleased with how we have been preforming. The two good wins were enjoyable, but I'm disappointed in the bore draw with West Brom, but that's football

This was a tough choice between Sturridge and Sterling but ultimately I gave it to Sturridge 4 goals in 3 games, including a superb hat-trick in the season opener was to good to ignore so I give the award to him.

Bye-Bye Borini

I requested a team-report from my assistant manager and had a lookView attachment 332445 over it. I looked at areas of weakness and strength and areas of surplus,
My conclusions were as follows:
- Weak in the goalkeeping department
- Strong in the midfield and attacking midfield
- With three strong strikers and my new signing Bonazzoli I decided that
Borini was surplus to requirements so when Inter puts in an offer for
7 million non negotiable I waved good-bye to Borini.

And guess whats the first thing he does over there........?
He breaks his neck in training!!!
Turns out it was better than first reported and its just a bad neck strain but he is still out for up to 5 weeks.

Well what a month that was! Talk about full on. At one point I had five games in thirteen days so there was a fair bit of rotation needed, but the squad has depth and because of the tough fitness regime I put them on over the preseason they stood up well to all the games plus traveling.

View attachment 332429
The first game was going to be tough although it was at home it was against Man City, they were league leaders and were in good form plus they had the reigning player of the month Sergio Aguero who had a return of six goals in three games this season. So understandably I was a bit worried about how we would do but the boys showed me how good they are by putting on a show for the ages.

They were ****** brilliant!
anime.gif
Brace's from Sturridge and Coutinho helped us on our way, but I'm even more pleased with the clean sheet, it really demoralizes an opponent when the can't even get a consolation goal.
But no honey moon can last forever a loss to F.C. Basel and a draw with West Ham, were disappointing but a 6-3 drubbing of Fulham in the Cup was good , but then the form dipped again with a loss to Newcastle and a draw with FCP. The Newcastle loss I can take seen that at half time we were very very very lucky to only be 3-0 down as we were played off the park, but the FCP draw hurts because we were 2-0 up with 15 mins to play and were cruising but then they scored twice to leave things in a draw and what really hurts was that was the home fixture.

Emre Can got his hip injured and I had the options of either sending
View attachment 332426him to a specialist of leaving him to the physios the specialist said 2-3 months and the physio said 4-5 months I knew specialists were better but not that much better. Really could't work that one out!
uh.gif

Also before the FCP game our youth teams versed and well we got absolutely done 5-0 so I had a look at the match report and I notice some one called Ruben Neves who had a match rating of 9.9 he scored two goals and set up the other three, so I thought I'd take at as I figured young striker, but no he is a Defensive Mid with some out of this world stats, Take a look!
*Note these stats are after only two scout reports I'm still scouting him to get them more accurate.
Crazy Huh! Anyone heard of him or got him?

Aww that's a shame in any other save I would go after him but unless he gets unsettled I don't think he's going to be heading to Anfield anytime soon.

October

View attachment 332309
A much quieter month compared to September but exiting non the less, a lot of team interaction was needed to sort the boys out after a few dressing room spats plus Jose Enrique and Flanagan also both came to requesting first-team football even though had been getting heaps already, so don't know what that was all about

View attachment 332310The Southampton game was crazy as both teams goal keepers had excellent game ratings so if either had had a bad game we could have seen double figures in one or both teams goal tally.

View attachment 332307

The Chelsea game was boring with two average goals, the next two we were really lucky too come away with wins considering we were the weaker team, although Bonazzoli became the Champions Cups youngest ever scorer. For the Hull games I decided to put Sturridge and Balotelli in the reserves to give Lambert and Bonazzoli some game time in what I thought would be a easy win but when they failed to fire and we went to extra time, I subbed them off and brought on the big guns and they decimated Hull to give us another win in the cup.

Meanwhile Suso has been in electric form while out on loan this season scoring 6 goals 8 assists and a average rating of 7.49, so I'm really pleased with how he's going. He is definitely part of my long term plan for Liverpool, hopefully he can continue this good form for the rest of the season.

I've been having a few problems in the dressing room of late with a couple of players having spats with each other, but thank good I have Gerrard when ever I have a problem I just bring him in and he sorts everything out.

View attachment 332302
Player of the month goes to Manquillo who has been sensational this month with some really good performances so I give the POM to him.

Thats October all rapped up for you, November I'm ready for you!

OH NOvember

View attachment 332274

It was shaping up to be a bad month but I managed to pull through, an injury crisis and a board visit were definitely not the highlights of the month but there definitely were some highlights towards the end. Just when I think I have a team, tactic or form going well something doesn't work and I'm back to the drawing board.

View attachment 332278
View attachment 332273
The First game of the month was against a Swansea team that had been surprising everyone with there results this season and were sitting in a respectable 3rd, but I still headed into the game with high hopes...

But we got done, the scoreline was modest. So by now we were sitting at 9th on the league ladder and the board wasn't happy, so via a video conference they inform me that John Henry will be flying over to watch the team in the game against Tottenham, I wasn't to worried Tottenham's manager had just been fired, they were sitting in 13th spot and were in a form slump, so I told the board that he could expect to see a convincing win for us.

We had just thrashed Celtic 6-1,I was pretty confident.
But of course fate being fate meant that I drew with them 1-1 and it was only thanks to a late goal as well that we drew, my job was looking less and less secure by the day.

View attachment 332276

I had been informed that John Henry and Chairman Thomas Werner were going to fly over to watch the Man U clash at the end of the month and unless results improved before then and on the day I could expect to see my contract under serious review.

Then things went from bad to worse as Lallana Gets a hip injury in training and is out for up to 2-3 months, then Sterling and Henderson get injured on international duty leaving me with Coutinho as my only fully fit attacking mid since Markovic was only semi fit. Mignolet was in poor form and I didn't want to move Sturridge onto the wing as he was my leading goal scorer. Only one of those problems I could fix so I decided to bring in a new Goalkeeper.

View attachment 332277

A 3-1 win over Crystal Palace and a 6-3 thrashing of Basel got everyone back in good morale and Henderson and Sterling had recovered from their injury's by now so hopes were up within the squad but I was still a bit worried Man U were on a 5 match wining streak and members of the board were going to be present so we really needed to put in a good performance.

View attachment 698050

View attachment 332266
WE WON!!!!!

4-3 we beat them and it was only a late penalty and a goal in stoppage time that let them get so close. It was an all-round good display of attacking football and I'm very pleased because I get to keep my job!
grin.gif
View attachment 698056

Understandably the board were very pleased with the result and told me after the game that my job was definitely safe and that I had their full support and the were hoping the good run of results could continue. So a good end to otherwise bad month but I'm still here and "all's well that ends well" as they say I guess.

Goes once again to Sturridge for 9 goals in six games spearheading the attack and being the premier leagues top goal scorer at the moment. So the award definitely goes to him.

So November has come to an end and it was probably the most worrying of the months so far. Good-bye November and Hello December.
