The Manchester United Thread

They've been relegated? I thought they had been like top 8 the last few years and quite good...

They were doing well until they decided they were a selling club and voilà, from playing the CL to playing Serie B in a year.

what you think of welbeck? is je going to stay with bruce or has he got a future with MAN U

If Dimitar Berbatov leaves during the summer which many people think he will (I for one don't) and Michael Owen possibly leaving, Welbeck and Macheda both with Premier League expierence and have both scored in the PL wouldn't be bad back up to Wayne and Javier with Will Keane being another one to possibly start looking to bring through the ranks.

No way we should sell Berba. He has taken the rotation role and is not moaning about it. We should send Macheda on loan to PL club, Welbeck as 4th striker and he can play on wings too.

It is that bit early for Will Keane to make a step up. We have Josh King too..

I don't believe for one moment that we'll sell him mate, it's the journo's that do. I wouldn't want us too, a brilliant player to bring on if in trouble. Danny has come a long way since being out on loan, shame he got injured as he was clearly an important player for Sunderland. He'd do well I think in the system SAF likes to play. Machedo like you said should go out on loan. Somewhere like Sunderland possibly? Agree would be too early to throw Will Keane and Josh King in but maybe playing in the Carling Cup games more often etc and give them a few games on the bench just to get a feel of things wouldn't hurt them. One things for sure, the future is bright for Manchester United!

Maybe, but Fergie said he should retire and i also think so!I mean i would LOVE him to stay...but no chance and Gill said we know who the replacement is so he's not staying!

What line up do you guys reckon Sir Alex will opt for against Blackpool?

Berbatov simply has to start, to make sure he gets his Golden Boot. This is what I'd like us to play :

Lindegaard/Amos
Rafael Smalling Vidic Evans
Fabio Pogba Tunnicliffe Bebe
Keane Berbatov

Hardly got any playing time. Only 19 years and can't understand why so many ManUtd supporters have given up on him. He is a good talent and should be sent on loan to Premier league club.

Yeah, I think he should go on loan to Sunderland, same for Bebe.

I doubt Bebe would be anymore than a bench warmer would be be loaned out to Sunderland.

how mutch will fergie spend in the summer and what or if do we need to buy

I would like to see Obertan in starting 11. I'm a big, big fan of his skill and pace. So, Obertan on left wing, Morrison in the middle, Bebe on left flank and Berbatov as a foward. Also, i want to see Fletcher and Ando in the midfield. For a Gk, Lindengaard, CB's Smalling and Evans, Right back Oshea and the left one - Fabio

Yes both Obertan and Bebe on the same side XD. Obertan on right, Bebe on the left flank.

Cleverley sees United future

Midfielder hoping to impress next season after Wigan loan

Tom Cleverley has declared himself ready to play for Manchester United next season after gaining experience over the past few years.
The midfielder has been sent out on loan for the past three years to aid his development and has gradually become accustomed to playing at a higher level.
He spent time with Leicester

in League One in 2009 before going to Championship club Watford

last term, while he has played in the Premier League for Wigan this season.
Cleverley's focus remains on helping Wigan avoid relegation in his final game for the Latics against Stoke this weekend, but he is also looking further into the future.
The 21-year-old hopes to impress Sir Alex Ferguson

sufficiently during pre-season that the United manager will not have to venture into the transfer market foHit the ground running

He told Sky Sports News: "Hopefully first of all I can have a good finish to the season on Sunday and a good summer with the Under 21s if selected, and then into next season hopefully I can get a good pre-season under my belt and start featuring for Manchester United.

Asked if he would be part of Ferguson's plans next season, Cleverley replied: "Yes, from what he's been saying.
"I feel fully part of the team there and the squad, and hopefully I can just hit the ground running in pre-season and play my way into the team.
"That is what the plan has been for the last few years. I went out in League One, the Championship and now the Premier League, so it has been building up to next season when hopefully I can start featuring for the side and that will save the club from going out and having to buy another midfielder."
r another midfielder.

I'm excited about this lad, have been for some time, looking forward to seeing him next season with United :) What do you guys think?

Interesting stats from PL players whose goals are directly responsible for most points (ie, equalisers and goals that put you into lead

Players directly responsible for most points: Berbatov 18pts, Tevez 14, Malouda 14, Hernandez 12, Adam 12, Van der Vaart 12, Rodallega 11...

Bent 11, Van Persie 10, Torres 10, Dempsey 10, Jones 10 and Rooney 10. So much for Berbatov only scoring in routs.

Berbatov keeps proving everyone wrong..

Most of those goals have been in routs though.

Puts us into the lead and we go on to win 3/4-0. He just started the rout is all. I only remember him scoring 3 winning goals. Liverpool, Blackpool, Bolton.
