Louis van Gaal says Angel Di Maria is getting close to full fitness and could be on the bench for tomorrow's game at Aston Villa. #mufc

At Carrington for Van Gaal. Says Angel Di Maria 'might be' on the bench v Aston Villa. Added that Radamel Falcao could start

Van Gaal also insists there's no news on a new contract for David De Gea. "Otherwise we would give that news."
"But we are relaxed about this."

Van Gaal wants to see more performances like the one against Hull, adding: "When you win six times in a row the confidence is rising, but I’m still looking for a game that is more close to the perfect game than we have given until now."

Louis van Gaal began his press conference by insisting that he didn't think the win over Liverpool "had a big influence" on his team. "The team can improve more but I don't think it was a great surprise that we won," he added.

I don't think the desire of LVG to dominate games will happen until we have a more complete first team 11, I mean at the moment it's still square pegs in round holes in certain places. Also I think Fellaini in midfield has been a problem, I mean yes he has certain things he offers which are obvious compared to other players, but in every game I see he is one of the players who constantly gives the ball away, particularly early periods in games when it's level so other teams are pressing more. LVG has noted that a lot of chances we give away to the opposition are from giving the ball away, often in dangerous positions.

Probably get hated by the Fellaini Police but I still don't rate him as a United midfielder, I'd rather see Herrera, Carrick and Rooney with 3 recognised CB's (if we have 3 fit) if we persist with this 3-5-2, which I hope we won't once we get some proper fullbacks fit and ready to play.

I really did like what I saw of Rooney last weekend, some of the balls he sprayed about were just something only he and very few other players can do.

Yeah Fellaini will never be as good a passer as Herrera or have the intelligent movement, but he has been key to our 6 game winning streak also. Think Herrera will play more, think just a couple things may have gone against him like his injury maybe the Leicester game knocked him a bit and the fact he might not have settled into the league as much as we know. Add to that Fellaini form even though last few games he has tailed off a bit. Think getting some FBs fit we will change formation to a 433/4231 but against tough oppo think he will always go back to 352 and play on the counter as he has said that he has had to adapt his style managing in the Prem. Rooney was quality in CM last week, was like watching Scholes in his pomp.

Apparently Rojo has trained and will see if fit to start after last training session like Di Maria :) getting players fit. Will be interesting coz as of new year we will have everyone fit, will be interesting what he will start with most weeks formation/line up. Will depend on oppo I suppose.

Another thing I was happy with about LVG presser today was that he aint just interested in the results, also wants us to play attractive footy :)

My 11 for tomorrow -

De Gea
Jones Carrick Evans
Valencia Herrera Rooney Mata Young
RVP Falcao

352 with Mata behind 2 STRs with Rooney playing deep like against Pool next to Herrera.
