Shaw and Rafael constantly pick up injuries as do our current CB's, who just aren't good enough anyway.

These are problems that could have been solved in the summer and if we don't strengthen in January then miss out on top 4 you can hardly say we don't deserve it when we have relied on a squad with 2 fullbacks and the muppets in defence like Evans to be a key part of the foundation in our team when losing all the quality/leadership/experience we had last summer.

Blind's lack of pace was never exploited because of his positioning. Also in midfield you don't need pace, it's an added bonus but not as important as for wingers and strikers. His intelligence is superb.

Pretty poor tbh! But i still think top 4 we will get. Especially when Europe starts again the rest will have dips in form. And know we have nearly everyone fit that will be huge for us. Would be handy to get couple in before end of Jan but will be hard. TBH i did not think we would be were we are now at the start of the season.

i expected us to have more points and be exciting to watch.
 
I really hope we not only get rid of the 352 vs qpr but also mata and rooney cm partnership, would much prefer fellaini/mata, carrick/herrera, rooney/blind pretty much any other combination apart from fellaini and carrick.

Doubt Van Gaal would but i'd be tempted to just try a 433 vs qpr.

DDG, Rafael, Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Herrera, Carrick, Blind, Di Maria, RVP/Falcao and Rooney.

I know it might not suit di maria and rooney but qpr have quite a narrow pitch and would allow for them to come inside and drift around while blind and carrick do their stuff from deep and herrera pushes on or even mata/fellaini in that role.

Its strange as 433 is his favoured formation through his career. Just don't think he is happy with squad yet.

It's the lack of wingers imo, i could see his reluctance to play a 433 with two of di maria, januzaj, mata and valencia as his wingers, 3 of them are better centrally and the other isn't very good.

CB and RB now, two wingers and a CM in the summer :) 433 here we come.

Clyne or Coleman, 2 of Hummels,Godin,Laporte,Schar,Gimenez, cant really think of many wingers but hope Depay is one maybe LVG can turn it around for Nani like he did Young or Zaha, Then 2 of Pogba,Vidal,Strootman,Schniederlin :)

Depends. Depay has good pace, but sometimes lacks proper decision making. Hummels and Schar would be more appropriate considering the CBs we currently have and need to spend somewhere else. Schar purely because I'm also considering Hummels injury record (Too much to pay for Godin considering his age, imo). If we're going 4-3-3, we probably need just one of Pogba/Vidal/Strootman, considering we have Blind/Carrick for pivot, Herrera for the dynamism, and the new entry for B2B. IF we also keep Fellaini, that's a good enough backup, Mata/di MAria can also double back.
