The Manchester United Thread

No wonder you're in here on this day and enjoy winding up the negative united fans, don't blame you.

Its all about the small things pal, tbh no I don't take massive pleasure in Man U being a bit gash, It is mildly amusing nothing more. I am too long in the tooth Iowa to get all worked up over stupid football bollocks I had my fair share of that when I was younger having kids etc does that too you. I was more poking fun at the colossal over reaction that is this thread were it seems like there is a few zzezzy post moyes appointment clones.

If I am honest you can spend all the money in the world and it will not solve your problems in football, if I was a United fan do you know what I would be worried about. 2 managers have had a go at sorting this team out one failed miserably and the other is not faring much better. The first one was considered one of the next great managers in waiting in moyes and Van Gaal will be considered when he retires probably one of the best or towards the higher end of the scale at the very least. Now here comes the scary part if these two cannot sort this mess out especially Van Gaal what the **** do United do the?

also apologies at my poor attempt at banter you've just come off a poor loss and I should have known better

He knows we are not playing great admits that himself. Despite this we are getting results more often than not. He is still in the middle of a major overhall at the club. I have confidence that we shall play better that's for sure.
To me our performances are declining and not getting better. If we play like this when our crush fixtures arrive then we will not finish in the top 4. Does lvg have a sack clause in his contract if we finish out of the top 4?. Love or hate United we always used to be the team to watch for our flair and passion. Now people watch us to see us lose! I'm not sure that when it comes to the crunch if we finish outside of the top 4 that the owners will not give lvg the boot. boring to watch and no champions league football would really **** them off and we know how ruthless they can be with the likes of moyes and their American football coaches as an example. I think we should have a young, but strong manager with fresh ideas who is not afraid to to play free flowing attacking football and has a big personality and lots of confidence to back up his ideas.

I haven't gotten wound up over footy in years, but this year it just seems to be niggling at me. Even the moyes era didn't bother me it was more laughter and last time i was annoyed under fergie was maybe the 6-1 and 4-4 in 2012 but that's about it for a long while, maybe go back to 09 before then but even then it's the odd game which is with most fans after a defeat.

Still boggles the ******* mind how they managed to get him, silva and aguero. I know we had no ffp back then but still surely one other club could have tempted one or two of them.
Yeah strange really but at the time Yaya was not playing well or at all for Barca. And Silva was hit and miss for Valencia and was way in Mata shadow at the time. I really think Aguero should of had more clubs after him. Apart from them and Zabaleta the rest of the squad is pretty average imo.

Its hardly a crisis for Man Utd and there is a sense of overreaction despite the defeat - Still very much in the hunt for third place and Champions League

The only worry is the performances. The results have been coming but for how long playing the way you were for the majority of games... LVG's comments about being the best team in England the past 20 games were slightly worrying (If i were a United fan) as well!

Woody has said LVG will be here for his contract or at least next season for sure which is a good idea imo.

If their squad is average then **** know what ours is.

He meant results wise, which is true in the last 20 games we are 2nd only to Chelsea on points after the last 20 games.

So you've still not been the best team, even results wise... Winning is the main thing, i just thought the comments were strange considering how much scrutiny he is under due to how poor United have looked

Overreaction to the current position and results yes, but nay chance to the performances somes fans aren't overreacting enough imo it's been far far too long for anyone supporting a supposedly top club to be putting up with the trash that has been on show since game 1 this season.

He would say that in public, the glazers might be thinking differently come the end of the season. If we finish outside the top 4 will they risk giving him another £150 million and another crack at top 4, I have my doubts. For me there are better options out there Nd should certain circumstances arise we should make the move.

It is tbh they have good players like us but should have better after the money they have spent since shieks took over.

I'd take milner, kompany, bony, fernandinho, zabaleta, demi and one of clichy/kolarov in our squad and that's not even mentioning aguero, silva or yaya.

So you're looking at 9 or 10 players from them i'd put into our 25, **** it i'd have navas over valencia and hart over valdes also.

I will bet my life that he will be here next season. Who you talking about, i cant think of any available atm.

I would not take Milner,Fernandinho,Demi or any of there LBs. Would take Zaba,Aguero,Silva but that's about it Kompany have been poor this season imo and Yaya has shown signs in games he is losing it a bit.
