The Manchester United Thread

I would not take Milner,Fernandinho,Demi or any of there LBs. Would take Zaba,Aguero,Silva but that's about it Kompany have been poor this season imo and Yaya has shown signs in games he is losing it a bit.

Milner would walk into our side, he has been brilliant. demi over jones and evans any day of the week and same goes for kompany who i'd have over smalling even if he has been a bit dodgy.

I will bet my life that he will be here next season. Who you talking about, i cant think of any available atm.
I'm glad you asked. Not Giggs, he is a true legend but he is not for me as manager. Pep is one, if, and if Bayern win champions league he might be up for a new challenge and we all know about his willingness to manage in England and his respect for United. Klopp is another, yes Dortmund have been **** this year but look at what he's done 2/3 years before that. He should be getting fed up with having to sell his best players. Anchelotti, Madrid never keep managers for too long and he would be a great choice and is someone who has won a lot of trophies in recent seasons. I'd also put Gary Neville as no2 as he has the experience with England, has unbelievable passion for United and is not afraid to but egos in check. All of these manager are current managers in the game who have won a lot of trophies recently. Lvg spent time away from club football and I think this has hindered him hugely.

Would have Milner and Demi on the bench for sure.

I cant see Klopp moving and is talks of new contract and looking forward to a better season next year. Plus he would not leave the club in such a state he just not that type and loves club to much. I think Carlo will retire after his Madrid days are done was even mentioned briefly on Revista. Pep is favourites but i don't think he will come as he said before LVG signed that he wants to stay for at least 3 more years, which is convieniently when LVG wants to retire. Also they do things very much the same training and as Pep has learnt under LVG. Will be perfect fit when LVGs contract runs out.

I agree with Theatre of Dreams you will not appoint any of those at all next season so where do you go from there?

I don't think any of our midfielders have done better this season, blind perhaps.
I would not have Milner over Blind or Herrera or Di Maria. Those would be my 3 CMs with Mata as No10 and Rooney and Wilson up front. No room for Milner.

Its imperative we give LVG another season imo. He is definitely working on things at the club.

I agree mate a manager like Luis Van Gaal is not someone you sack after 1 season, notorious slow starter but when he gets it right boy does he get it right. I think you could say he has possibly underestimated the competitiveness of the premier league in that there is no luxury of an easy game

Again he's played better this season, not even sure how it's debatable. I'd probably only have de gea in a first 11 that featured united, city and throw in chelsea or arsenal players.

Exactly i think is why he wants a shorter tour nxt season so he will have us ready from the get go no excuses.

If Van Gaal gets fired I'll eat my socks and put it on You Tube.

Literally zero chances of that happening, top 4 or not.

And the overreactions in this thread are ****** ridicolous, you dominated nearly entire game and lost due to freak accident of a goal. Calm yo ****.

I think Blind has been better than Milner and when Herrera has played his stats are right up there. Di Maria has been poor since his injury and the thing with his family wont have helped. He is to good to stay playing like this as is much of the team tbh.

I think what your forgetting is that the glazers are money grabbing nobs and the amount of money we will lose if we miss out on champions league through tv rights, sponsorship etc is enourmas. They have shown that their patience is thin, but that have also shown that they will spend money to make United the biggest club/franchise both on and off the pitch into he world. We do have the financial muscle and club history to go and get the best manager that they see fit, regardless of wether they are in contract or not.

There is no chance LVG is getting sacked before next season. Woodie has said this and they are already making/made plans for next season on and off the pitch. We can afford to be out the CL at least another season without it being a huge loss to our income due to the new TV rights and Adidas deal kicking in next season. Wishful thinking on your part imo.

Dominating a game in terms of possession means nothing and that is not really anything new as that is what LVG's system/phyilosophy is all about.

It's the lack of chances down to lack of a cutting edge, pace and attacking potency as well as utter clueless defending which could of cost us goals anyway today.

Not wishful thinking as I would much rather lvg succeed instead of us getting rid of another manager. I'm just not sure the glazers will be quite so patient. Would I be dissopointed if he got sacked, yes, would I be surprised, no.

I agree that has been the case this season but not today chances wise. Your right our defence bar Rojo and Shaw has been poor.

Yeh, I know it sounds harsh, but it's rather telling when Ashley Young comes on and is immediately the best attacking player we have.

RVP and Falcao should be gone in summer, we need fresh blood with good work rate to defend from the front and pace.

But was disappointed with Rooney today as well and got to say Di Maria, you expect more from considering, although he played good part in first goal.
