Just reading a good article on LVG and the club execs/owners. Seems talk has started on maybe an extension to LVGs current contract and he wants this to be his last job and feels energized by the challenge of managing Utd. Also says that a meeting between the Glazers took place after the 3-1 Burnley win and they excepted it would be a season of consolidation and rebuilding and that it may take a 2nd year for LVG to complete his work on the squad, and they say they are very happy with LVGs plans for the club and not just for the 1st team. Also spoke to Woodie about summer transfers and Strootman,De Bruyne,Hummels and Gundogan were the main targets amongst a few other younger targets. Also in this 4 hour meeting between Woodie and the Glazers and LVG Scouting,Youth Scouting, Training at all levels, Future summer tours, Transfer strategy were also talked about and were talking as far forward as where they want the club to be by 2020.

Was surprised LVG only got a 3 year contract since imo it'll take him that long to sort things, obviously he deserves an extension if we get top 4 and then challenge next season.

De Bruyne and Gundogan pleaseeeeeee but the lack of forwards as main targets is scary......
 
Marquinhos tells L'Equipe #MUFC tried to sign him in January. 'PSG refused to open talks in Jan . But it's nice to know Man United are interested.'

Maybe that was part of the Younger targets chat Dybala,Lacazette,Icardi,Nathan we have been linked to STR wise. De Bruyne and Gundogan would be class.

The more i hear and the little i see of Dybala i really like him. Vietto over icardi all day imo, surely he is on our radar rather complete footballer.

Gk - De Gea/Valdes/Pereira
FBs - Clyne/Shaw/Janko
CBs - Hummels/Smalling/Rojo/Jones/McNair/Blackett/Marquinhos
CMs - Carrick/Blind/Herrera/Gundogan/Pogba/Rothwell
AMC/Wingers - Mata/Januzaj/DiMaria/Young/Depay/Nani/Lingard
STRs - Rooney/Wilson/Falcao/Dybala

Tried to be realistic. And think that's a good squad.

If we had to keep one of falcao or rvp i'd keep rvp but personally get rid of both,yes to gundogan and it's possible, can't see us getting pogba though and the rest i agree with maybe not that many att mid/wingers though can see lingard and mata going or mata and nani.

Yeah can see Mata going but i hope not. And with Lingards new contract and high praise from LVG and his good loan atm can see him staying. And Nani has said Woodie and LVG said he will be in team next season. Pogba will be the big transfer this Summer and Cavani.

Why do you want Icardi when you have similar player in Hernandez. He is just a poacher with good pace. Can't pass, dribble or hold up ball. He is still young and all that, his goal scoring record is impressive but his game is very limited.

Dybala on the other hand is excellent

I don't, that is why i said Vietto over icardi in reply to the forwards Theatreof Dreams listed.
 
Just been doing a bit of searching and from what I can see is that Vareala has not signed or agree to sign for Madrid. Only that Zidane has hinted they may make an offer for him.

Away games like Newcastle and palace are more of a worry. Like or hate them Liverpool have done great and will get top 4 IMO with their young hungry and pacey team.

Will be tough game for sure but City have got it all wrong today and in nearly all big games in the last 2 seasons. I don't think Pool will get top 4 but will go to the wire.

They have a **** run in, we'll scrape past spurs and arsenal and get beat by Chelsea city and them.
