The Manchester United Thread

Nope reports he would be interested top 4 or not. Players wont not sign if we don't make top 4 will just cost more. Which we pay over the odds for players anyway.

If City can buy Toure and Silva before a top 5 finish i'm sure United will be fine.

So who do people think the 3 done deals are already. I think Clyne,Depay,Berahino.

Probably. Clyne is prob the most unlikely out the 3, only due to the age of Ivanovic i think Jose might just fancy him as well. I;d tkae Clyne over Sanga anyday, and any LB over the two we have.

Berahino is a weird one, good player yes, but from the rumours about arogance and interviews he's done, would think LVG would give him a look in.

I think Mou will defo stick with Iva for a season or 2 yet showing no signs of level dropping atm and is a good athlete always up and down, good player for you guys!. Not sure Jose would fancy Clyne or Clyne would wanna be back up. Berahino and his agent were at OT when we played FA Cup against Arsenal and was sat up with Woodie and the rest of OTs big boys. Depay is a given imo from whats been coming out lately.

Only with Iva beoing what 31 i thought Jose might look, do they still have Wallace on their books? Clyne has the same option at Chelsea or United. He'd be the long term first term position either way.

Yeah i saw Berahino there, just seem to be a bit of ***** but you never know.

Depay seems a guarantee, no doubt to play the Robben role in LVGs system.

Yeah forgot about Wallace tbh I spoke to a Chelsea mate at work and he was saying he seems to be very highly rated at Chelsea. And could be back up to Iva next season. Think hes out on loan atm but not sure? Would be happy with the 3 I mentioned at Utd with a top CB and CM or 2.

Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria has insisted he is enjoying life at Old Trafford and stated he is determined to succeed at the club following his record-breaking £59.7 million move from Real Madrid last summer.

Di Maria has been widely criticised by United supporters and the media for his uninspiring performances in recent months, with his red card in last Monday's FA Cup quarterfinal defeat against Arsenal a new low point of his time in English football.

After United boss Louis van Gaal has suggested Di Maria needed time to adapt to the demands of English football, the Argentine international has told the United Review that he is eager to find his feet and prove his worth at Old Trafford.

"I feel really good here and I'm genuinely happy to be wearing the No. 7 shirt," he stated of a jersey that has been previously worn by the likes of George Best, Bryan Robson, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I know that some really great players have worn it in the past for Manchester United. Top, top players. I was really excited to wear that number, as it's the one I wear for Argentina and things have always gone really well for me. That's one reason I chose the number and also because so many great players have worn it before me.

"I hope that I can perform well and that the No. 7 shirt can keep its privileged place, high in the history of Manchester United."

Di Maria, who will sit out Sunday's vital Premier League game against Tottenham at Old Trafford as he serves a suspension following his dismissal against Arsenal, went on to suggest United's push for a top four finish is about to enter a crucial phase.

"We are all aware that a number of big games are just around the corner for ourselves and the season will be decided by these fixtures," he continued.

"We know all about these upcoming games and we have been thinking and talking about them for quite some time now.

"Since the time that the fixtures for the second half of the season came out, we've known that everything would be at stake over this final period.

"Everyone at the club is 100 percent confident, we know that we want to get back into the Champions League and that we want to be fighting it out.

"We will battle hard right to the end of the season. From what I know of the club, United always fight right to the end, and that's what we're going to do.

"I think that having so many new faces arriving and then playing in the first-team, it's never easy for them to settle in immediately alongside the established players who have been here a while.

"It takes time for a team to really hit the heights. We've picked up some big results along the way, we're near the top of the league and we shouldn't be too downbeat because we've achieved quite a lot so far."

Not so sure about Berahino. Clyne/Coleman and Depay are probably done deals, I guess?

Coleman has been poor this season and is close to signing a new long term contract ive been told by a lot of Everton fans.

A lot of players have been poor this season, doesn't necessarily indicate quality, but yeah, if he's due to sign a LT deal, then Clyne, probably.

Clyne, Depay, Hummels, Dybala/Lacazette and a CM (No ****** clue who we'll target here..) would be an excellent transfer window, while tying down DDG to a new deal (if it hasn't already happened(?)

Yeh would be happy Clyne,Depay,Berahino,Hummels,Dybala and one of Shniederlin,Gundogan or Pogba.

He seems as typical British striker, like Defoe or Bent. I honestly don't see anything special in him.
Hes nothing like the 2 you mention tbh. But I think he is the type of STR we need. Good pace, dribbling and can stretch the defence and is a good finisher. Could become a good player imo and better than Ings :)

I would disagree with this one. I really don't see how he would fit. For me he's not technically nor tactically good enough.

Ok lol but people are crying out for Dybala and they are almost the same I have watched Dybala a lot this season and only just edges Berahino imo.

Don't Berahino at all tbh. Rather have Vietto, would also be cheaper.
