The Manchester United Thread

Think he might bring Smalling in for Rojo, as we did against Liverpool. Rojo has a red card in him (especially in a big derby) and the Jones/Smalling partnership has worked well before. Van Gaal may be tempted to leave the team as it i though, I certainly don't see Young being dropped anytime soon.
I think Jones will be dropped as he is poor on the ball and Rojo is left footed and LVG likes a left footed LCB for the balance of the team. I agree about Young will most probs start but his end product needs to be better! No completed crosses in 11 against Villa that's *****.

Young will keep his place for his work rate and his general ability to retain possession over Di Maria's flair and end product. Di Maria can make more of an impact from the bench.

LVG dropped Rojo for Jones against Liverpool, possibly for Jones' pace against Sterling. Maybe he'll stick with Rojo as he knows Aguero's game better? Rojo's better on the ball, no doubt about that. The Liverpool game shows that LVG has adapted from his left foot/LCB philosophy that everyone seems to obsess about though

UtdReport.com @UtdReport Follow Barcelona are interested in Ander Herrera to replace Xavi in 2016 onwards. [md via @barcastuff] Not happening they can **** right off! Maybe we will be interested to replace Young with Messi in 2016 also.

According to entourage of Dani Alves (31), they have received a formal offer from Man United. No official approach from PSG so far. [sport]

Young and Valencia are balancing out the entire squad with their superb workrate , I can't see either of them being droped any time soon. They make not have much of a offensive threat on their own, but they work like mad in the defense allowing Herrera, Fellaini and Mata to rampage free. And the results are visible, how much more goals from the midfield compared to last year?

Valencia has shown too many times that he's a disaster waiting to happen from RB.

I agree. He has done a solid job and been steady but I can see him and Rafa leaving and us signing Alves on a free which Balague thinks were favourites and Clyne for about 15m and Lvg having 2 natural RBs.

Dani Alves is what I find more ridiculous. Older, more wages, and he's even more out of position defensively than Rafael. I'd rather have Rafael.

What games are these? Apart from Arsenal game in the FA cup he has done well defensively and attacking he is decent. For a RB he creates decent chances.

Valencia won't leave. He is a manager's dream. very professional player, never moans about anything, no agent, decent wages, versatile, always fit, excellent stamina, physical beast and pacey player and on top of that never issues on and off the field. We are not relying on him to create and score goals, we have too many players who can do that. His discipline is very much needed and he is very valuable squad member.

I agree and LVG has even said he likes Valencia. But he wants a natural RB. And the Clyne and Alves talks won't go away. I would be more than happy with Clyne and Valencia next season! Loan out Janko again and eventually replace Valencia with him!

U21s went top of there league last night with a 3-2 win over West Ham. Harrop,Rothwell. Rafael, Adnan Januzaj, James Wilson & Paddy McNair all played.

Blind one of our best signings in a long time.

Clyne's attacking game is not good, would rather pay more and sign Coleman. I still believe Rafael is better than both just that he can't stay fit.

I would love for us to keep Rafa but he is a gonna I reckon. Your right he is better than both. Don't think we will be after Coleman.

Lots of talk in media in France and England this morning about us bidding 40m for Cavani. What are your thoughts guys if we sold RVP and Hernandez got rid of Falcao. I would love him here tbh and can see him being a nightmare for defences in the Prem. 4Om is a fair price imo.

Our best formation is 4-3-3 with only 1 striker, not sure how signing Cavani helps us when the problem for us was accommodating star strikers for the sake of it.

Yeah true i think if 3 of ours leave we will need a quality number 2. If we wanna be challenging on all fronts :)

Dutch Football @football_oranje Follow Daley Blind asked Wesley Sneijder to join Man United during the international break, but Sneijder doesn't want to leave Turkey.
