The Manchester United Thread

Charlie Nicholas being a **** on SSN, but that's no surprise. "Real Madrid have exposed Manchester United". How on earth does he reach that conclusion from this DDG saga? We're the ones who held out for a fee or bid that Madrid ended up offering and then they cocked it up.

Charlie Nicholas on our transfer dealings "I don't see any stars in it".

Bastian Schweinsteiger is not a star??? Because he's 31??? Oh wow, I can't make this up.

The Madrid statement/timeline has been released..

Is it just me or does this stink of a lack of professionalism yet again from Madrid? They have put in that pretty much all the information of not only their movements supposedly in this transfer strategy, but also ours as well, surely there is something against clubs doing that?

I don't know. Things have probably reach such a point of acrimony between the two clubs over claims and counter-claims that I don't think Madrid even care anymore. They have just failed to land a marquee target this summer after losing out on every trophy over something as silly as paperwork and they are incredibly ******

This sums it up...

10. In short, the Real Madrid has done everything necessary, and at all times, to implement these two transfers.

----

Who would of guessed that the point of that was to stop all the scrutinty going towards them and try to divert it elsewhere?

To be fair it took you lot 8 hours to read through the contract and add a few minor adjustments and send it back to them.

How do you know they are even telling the truth? Their version of events is going to be biased.

Dunno if this has been posted

Real Madrid have just released a 10-point statement explaining step-by-step what happened in the David de Gea negotiations last night. To summarise:

1. Manchester United did not open negotiations for David de Gea's transfer until yesterday morning

2. Real Madrid, despite the short notice and difficulties caused by this, agreed to enter negotiations

3. When United entered the negotiations, they made it clear that an agreement had to be reached with Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas and started talks with his representatives

4. Real and United reached a rapid agreement on the transfer of both players. The required documents were drafted leaving sufficient time in order to proceed with the FIFA TMS procedure before the Spanish deadline. Real forwarded the contracts to Manchester United at 13.39 Spanish time.

5. Man United sent the contracts back to Real eight hours later at 21.43 Spanish time, including minor modifications. All the changes were accepted immediately by Real in order to get the player registered with TMS and the Spanish league

6. Real Madrid, after obtaining the signatures of De Gea and Navas, sent the signed contracts back to United at 23:32 Spanish time. Real then waited to receive the final documents signed by United.

7. United reached a final agreement with the representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 Spanish time. It was at that time that the contracts were sent to the player and signed.

8. United entered the data for De Gea into the TMS system at midnight Spanish time but not that of Navas. The signed transfer contracts were sent to Real simultaneously. Real received the full documentation at 00:02 and tried to access the TMS system, but it was already closed.

9. At 00:26 Spanish time, the computer system of FIFA TMS sent an invitation to Real Madrid to fill in the data of De Gea. Given that the deadline for registration in England remains open today, Real decided to refer the contract to the Spanish league, even knowing that the deadlines had expired

10. In short, Real has done everything necessary, and at all times, for these two transfer to go through.

The time comes from an independent software. If they are chatting **** utd just need to screen shot the times and release it.

Fair point. Our computers are a bit slow, so we had difficulties with scrolling and RM had no Office installed, simple as you like.

And it is going to be on here as well?

I have absolutely not idea what the truth is, but both sides are going to be blaming the other until some actual proof comes out. If it ever does, that is

I'm just saying you can't believe what Real Madrid says and take it for what it is. Even the Spanish media are blaming Madrid over this, so they've conveniently responded to try and justify themselves again.

Does anyone seriously expect them to announce this and put themselves totally to blame? Not a chance, they are trying to save face, as expected.

Doubt it, that's a very sour way to go and rather pointless because I imagine he'll be cup-tied in CL.

But its his dream club, he's being played 3 times less what hes worth, and misses his g/f....

:p

See, you don't want to give him any sympathy because he didn't sign a new contract, but then you expect him to play nice as well.
