He wouldn't be a back-up player. If he's ready to turn down an £80k deal with Villa, then I'm sure the money at United would be over £100k + our #7 shirt; **** that ****. He can **** off to City, Spurs or Pool.
Why do people want us to sign Diarra? He is not much better than Fletcher. ****, he is worse than Fletcher. Last season's Fletcher plus one creative mid will solve our mid field problems. Not average players like Diarra...
Diarra is far from average. I don't know about signing him, but you shouldn't be disappointed if you do.
Manchester united - sissies, gays, turds
we are not corrupt and we don't fix our matches and we don't get relegated!
Ginger Prince has called it a day. One of the best midfielder of his generation. It was always joy to watch him pinging those diagonal passes, inch perfect 40 yard passes. Will miss you Scholes. Hope you teach our young lads lesson or two about passing and movement.
Now that Scholes is retired, Hargo released, I think we will surely buy a CM.
I think we need an enforcer in the midfield, rather than a destroyer. I know Fletcher is a good player and I like him a lot, but he just doesn't strikes me as an enforcer. He's missing something although I can't tell what it is. Miss the days of Keane.
My thoughts exactly. Right now your priorities are getting a new Scholes and a new Keane. The new Scholes should be Sneijder or Modric even if they're really expensive. I don't know about the new DM, there aren't any star enforcer DM's out there right now, but I think one of the Diarras (Lass or Alou) or Toulalan or Schweinsteiger would do the trick, at least much better than Carrick and Anderson. Those two along with your new goalkeeper will cost around 80 million ish I think, and other than maybe one or two more cheap players that is plenty for one transfer window.
And btw Valencia is a very good player, don't get me wrong, all I'm saying is that he's not a superstar and if you wanted to be excessive and make a huge signing on top of the other three, I'd go for a winger before a striker.
thast just it, we dont care about superstars. Valencia does his job brilliantly thats all that matters. IF berbs goes we will bring in a striker. that is how SAF works. Priority is a playmaker and gk, then an enforcer, and it wont be any of those players you keep mentioning either, with the exception of Lass for the right price. It's more likely to be a young up and coming enforcer, thats why we are still looking at Rodwell
There are upto 10 players leaving this summer, we will sign as many as needed
I hope he doesn't teach them the other side to his game...
Great player, and he's right to call it a day. He can still play those long-range passes but other aspects of his game have inevitably deteriorated and unlike Giggs, he can't be sure of a First Team place any more. I expect you'll sign Modric tbh but Sneijder probably has a wider range of passing? And would therefore be the ideal candidate - mixing attacking prowess and the ability to drive on from deep with a range of passing and shooting. Like Scholes, but more technical.
I think you need a LW tbh. Giggs is getting old, Nani is far more effective from the right, Park does his job well but isn't really a winger as much as a defensive forward. Bale/Coentrao (he can play LW too right?) would be ideal IMO. I agree, though that a playmaker and obviously a GK are and should be the priorities. I fully expect Modric to be a Utd player next season since he's a) probably cheaper than Sneijder, and b) probably more willing and c) Utd love Spurs players (Berba, Carrick for exmaple) ... Almost as much as Barcelona love Arsenal's players (Overmars, Petit, Henry, Hleb, Cesc, Afobe, Aneke)

Nani didn't get extended run of games as LW. When he has started as LW, he drifter to central and right wing position and created chances. I dont want Bale as Nani is more than capable LW and when he starts as LW usually he gets free role.
Bale would cost more than 40 Million. Bastos would be excellent though..
But that's the point about Nani - he's two footed, but he evidently prefers the RW. If you can get one for the right price I think it could be key - two out and out wingers with defensive attributes too in Valencia and X (Bale/Bastos/Coentrao?) and other options in Nani and Park, who will cut inside and take a long shot or create chances from a more central position. If Valencia gets injured, you put Nani on the RW and trust Park on the left for an extended period of time which would mean having two fairly similar (in that they both drift into a central position) wingers on either side. No need to break the bank for one but you'll need one in the next 2 years imho.
Isn't Cleverley a CM?
