Think its fair to say footballing lesson is being taught right here. This just shows that no matter how old you are i.e Fergie you still have something to learn.

Yeah they might well be, but that like someone threatening to chop you legs off, and saying "I want to run off, but his chopping technique is good and the blade is nice and shiny, so I'll stay and watch him do it."

Its not vintage united though is it? Seen some amazing United sides over the years, playing great football most weeks. This united side has showed flashes of brilliance in various games, but not on a regular basis.

When I say rebuild I mean get some top quality youngsters who will be the stars of the future. Repeat the same process in the same manner taken the time this happened and United got knocked out of CL in the group. After that United came back with an amazing side with Rooney, Ronaldo etc.

United shouldn't have to be compared with Bilbao, they should be compared to Real Madrid and Barcelona. This game however reminds me a little of the 2009 final, although obviously to a much lesser extent.

This shows no matter what media says about La Liga defenders gives so much space, it is ****. No league press more than La Liga teams.


And lol that score is just 2-0. I swear Bilbao played brilliantly than City did against us. They just converted their chances whereas Bilbao are not able to.

We have those youngsters, and they are still learning. We just need the final pieces in the key area of central midfield.

You mention ronaldo, it took him 3 seasons before he truly shone

De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Rafael, Fabio, Cleverley, Welbeck. All good players now, excellent players for the future, just need to add a bit more

Well at least De Gea's had a decent game, no chance with either of the goals but made a couple of good saves.

I'm not gonna blame them for the defeat, cause Bilbao have been impressive and we have been awful, a good referee wouldn't have changed that; but some of the decisions tonight have been swayed by the home crowd (and as a United fan I know that when I see it haha)

Now that my anger is dying away, I am starting to appreciate Bilbao's performance even more.
 
Deserved to go out, completely outplayed over both legs sums up our season in Europe really. Hopefully city go through so we'll have the fitter team going into the last few premier league games.
