The Manchester United Thread

Gutted Sunderland couldn't hold out, but come on! City drop two points! Full speed ahead Ewood Park.

It's great they were winning at one point. I was as happy as a child on Christmas.
But as long as Man City lose points, I'm still happy.

From what I have saw I think Hazard would be a good fit at United, I prefer him to Gotze, think he has more potential and is pretty class already in a very average team. He is one to replace Giggs anyway, I agree Valencia is probably best winger in the league but not sure about Nani any more, he is not a Ronaldo and has a lot of average games. I think Hazard could really add something to our team, whether it happens or not is another matter.

Nani has more assists than anyone in the league over the last 2 seasons. Better and a more complete player than Valencia when he on his game. But yeah he didnt look sharp when he came back from injury before he got injured.

tbh I would prefer a left footed winger, we haven't had one since Giggs (excluding Tosic of course).

An aggressive ball playing centre mid is needed first and foremost, then a quality creative central mid.

The title is now surely Manchester United's to lose. SAF again proves what a terrific manager he is. The team lost their best CB but he made sure they were not affected. The team lost against their bitter rivals 6-1 and how does SAF respond, by going on six straight wins and ultimately claiming top spot.

Maybe we are missing it completely, Fergie was looking at Balmont or Pedretti at the Lille/Lyon game :D

On a serious note, I did hear talk about Jack Rodwell for a long while before christmas but seems to of died down now, apart from Javi Martinez not sure who else we could get, maybe Lass Diarra but whether he would leave Real I am not sure.

its yours to lose now. City showed that they dont have balls for that pressure.

Martinez, M'vila. Rodwell is injury prone in all honesty.

Got to agree there. It's looking bleak for his future development. Would appear it's going to be a continuous hammy problem that'll be the problem

I think after City's result today: United to win yet another title- amazing success for Fergie.

Shame, I really would of put Rodwell pretty much top of the list for that role we need.

My opinion is that today is the day Utd won the title. Unofficial obviously but i believe its as good as over.

United still have to capitalise on the favour given to them by city and beat Blackburn. Although I believed United will win the title, it's still far from over

Not yet, but as long as we do the basics well, even losing to city wont stop us. **** good chance we could hopefully win it at Eastlands. Now that would be a party!

I may be a Leeds fan but I would love to see that!

Would be awesome if it happened like that but lets not get too carried away we still need to treat every game as a must win! Seems so odd to me how we have performed pretty much really good consistently in the league but been so poor in Europe, in my opinion next season a better showing in Europe is a must! No way on earth teams like Basel and probably Benfica in all honesty should of got through ahead of us.

No doubt despite a good show in the Premiership we need to improve in the summer and I hope it is not delayed if Scholes decides to stay on another season.

Indeed winning the prem must not gloss over just how disappointing Europe was, absolutely needs to be addressed. Central mid, once again is the priority

and would rather see United win the title than see city buy it :P

And that exactly the reason i like seeing City not winning things, goes against the argument that money guarantees success.
