And before it goes any further i actually wanted Utd to win tonight so i don't have a problem with that lol.
You should definitely quit while you're behind lol.

Not really. he came with zero english, he understands it very well, speaks it ok and is taking lessons. Not everyone necessarily has an ear for languages. So its not a point of criticism in the slightest.

I do find it disappointing when a player who has been playing in this country nearly 6 years can't speak English properly regarding Valencia.
Some people have more difficulty learning languages than others. And his English probably isn't bad, he's just embarrassed by it.
Well we will just have to agree to dis-agree, im not saying learning a new language is easy along with settling into a new country, lifestyle and being away from family etc i fully take that on board. But with the greatest respect the lad has been here nearly 6 years, in my eyes he should be able to understand and respond in basic English by now. A lot of other players who have been here a lot shorter can do so, like i said i believe a lot is do to with how much the person actually wants to.
but that isnt how language works. Just because you really want to learn doesnt mean you will learn. Like i said he understands it very well, can speak ok (note he really doesnt like interviews, he's actually incredibly shy pubicly) and is till taking lessons.
Class performance from hole team, de gea kept us in game with some quality saves fans were outstanding great win next 2 games are massive imo!
I totally understand that but 6 years is a lot of time lol.
Yep, bringin scholes back desperate LOL. Would love to go to city with 8 point lead. What's massive imo is SAF sticking to his guns and showing faith in the players that he has at his disposal, and bringing back Scholes, and more importantly, unlike Man City, mentally holding it together. Unlike City's infighting on the pitch on Saturday. Arsenal are another example of this. Yes they lost at the weekend, but like Utd didn't really spend a lot of money at all, and still surged up the table when people thought Arsenal wouldn't make the CL.
But still, some people have natural difficulty picking up new languages, and English is one of the hardest. For instance, I learnt Spanish and German for the same time period, and my Spanish was far better than my German in that time.
But still, I fail to see why it's unacceptable for someone to have issue with learning languages, and then if someone struggles with say, Maths, it's acceptable. Some people just have difficulty with certain subjects, I'm sure he can speak it much better than he lets on, and he's doing everything you'd expect someone to do to learn. He clearly understands English fine, and can communicate it well when he needs to, it's not fair to criticise him for not having to confidence to speak a second language on camera as well as someone more linguistic like Hernandez or Evra.
Just a bug bare of mine that's all lol.

Only thing i would say is that Maths is not something you would need as a player. Just my mentality but if you move to another country i believe you should do everything possible to learn the language of that country ASAP. I will point out to slate myself i am a full English citizen and struggle to speak/type proper English lol.
Some selected Paul Scholes stats from today:
1. 78 passes attempted, 76 completed
2. 97% passing accuracy
3. 2 key passes
4. 26 long balls, 24 accurate, meaning that the two passes he misplaced were both 'killer ball' type passes
5. 80 touches taken, meaning that all but two of his attempted passes were one-touch.
For those not of a statistical persuasion, I'll put it into context for each bit of data in turn.
1. Scholes manages 63 passes per game on average, so this could be seen as an improvement, or perhaps just a reflection of United's dominance in this game.
2. This, however, clearly is, with Scholes' average pass success around an already-excellent 92%.
3. An improvement on Scholes' average of 0.9.
4. TWENTY FOUR ACCURATE LONG BALLS?! This short ginger dude can play.
5. Utterly ridiculous. That's the kind of stuff even Xavi can only dream of. Completely and utterly masterful, there is no other word for it.
I go over stats a lot - it's something I like doing - and these are truly, ridiculously, otherworldly good.
Scholes' influence has been huge. Even now he is a top class maestro
