He did. He bought in Memphis.

Hyped up, showing signs of brilliance, but ultimately disappointing.
He bought Memphis way before di maria fell out so it wasn't directly his intention

The fact remains Van gaal could have persuaded Di maria to stay but he made no effort whatsoever to keep him.

di maria did not want to be here from the start he wanted the easy life with psg but since thay did not make a bid and we did and real wanted him out he came end off

It is true but that doesn't mean he just came to get his pay checks and put in awful performances on purpose.

He started quite brilliantly but tailed off which is the reoccurring theme for all of our signings under LVG. LVG over complicated things and gave him more defensive responsibilities, changed his position(the position where he thrived at back in madrid) and shackled him creative wise.

And yes, di maria should've stayed to fight but lvg's system didn't help out which goes back to the point myself and sunlik/zzency made. System is more important than individual players no matter how talented the players are, I swear messi could join us and LVG would make him look average.

They'll persist until you make a decision on Van Gaal's future one way or the other.
And the fact that no one from the United camp has come out to rubbish those rumors speaks volumes.

I said it in December and I'll say it again, lvg won't be united manager next season even if we miraculosly make top 4.

Meh. The way Woodward works going on his previous on transfers I'd read absolutely nothing into Utd's silence.

Bollox - The rumours started at 11pm night, in Spain, at the weekend. I think they'll prob get addressed tommorow or in the week. lol

No they haven't. LOL..LVG backed himself.

Moyes also said he had the support of everyone at the club 2 months before he got the boot

All the quotes of backing have come from LVG himself :lol..

That's genius.

So going as you do, LVG will be sacked probably, the club will dally about, manager will be confirmed and the window will be missed again or pay over the odds for someone off the back of euro 16?

If what is reported in Spanish papers is true then we have Jose confirmed from Feb. We have seen Jose attending lot of matches and after what happened to him this season I would guess he has already started his recruitment process from that day.

Euros is a big pain in the *** when you change managers but I'm thinking there is lot of work done behind the scenes which aren't reported by main stream media. Both club and manager have lot to prove now and both know they will work together from may. So who knows, all the ins and outs are planned for next season.

He won't be 'sacked' he will take early retirement to spend more time with his family. Hopefully Mouriniho won't come in and will end up with egg on his face he reminds me too much of Clough and we all know what happened to him at Leeds. I'm not a fan of Giggs as manager either as experience of management is what is needed in the Premiership. Blanc would be my preference but will he leave PSG I seriously don't think so.

Lot of details published, apparently Deigo Torres' source is Mendes or someone close to them.

5 Million if we don't sign him by May, 10 Million if we don't sign him by June. If these are correct then I'm sure Jose will be our manager when the season ends.

Hopefully this won't blow on our faces, we need good manager to take us to the top and we don't have much buffer time.

Good luck today against Citeh. Sincerely hope yers win being as you're not the only ones in the hunt for 4th.

(I shall now go bleach my mouth out for saying that. :P.).

Ye I placed bet on City. That way I won't be disappointed either way.

If the two (fairly credible) sources are true, then United had a gentlemans agreement (nothing written) with Jouse back in February, which is now become a written pre-contract with clauses to be excuted.

This sounds like United going for a back up plan (one contested by those who want Giggs) while Woodward desperately wanted LVG to work out (it was clearly over in december though...)(
