The Manchester United Thread

Guys, don't be ridicolous.

Chanting is one thing. People who do it are apes and should be ashamed of themselves.

Trying to start a riot is a different thing entirely. One punch can lead to another and before you know it, there can be another Hillsborough. What if it did, what would be the excuse? We started a riot that led to tragedy, because our feelings got hurt? Quit the bullshit. Trying to start trouble on a stadium is dangerous. I don't care if someone chanted about your momma, there's no excuse for that ****.

I don't believe anyone has claimed there IS an excuse for that ****. That doesn't mean the way UEFA has dealt with this makes any ******* sense, or that chanting that **** is some trifle no one should care about.

Or rather let's talk about some obviously underperforming players who were key players for us last season.

Let's start with fan favorites like Herrera and mata. Herrera performances have declined if I compare them to last season. Last season, LVG benching him seemed like a complete aberration but this season, imo, LVG benching Herrera is seemingly justified as he's done little to nail his spot down.

On to mata. Mata's a bit of a mystery. He started the season absolutely brilliantly with some fantastic performances but after October, he tailed off. He picked up some form in February and early March but constant tactical tweaking from Louis van dumbass and he looks rather lackadaisical or rather leggy.

On to fellaini...he's just not united quality but when he's played to his strengths, he can be quite the asset. But alas, opponents have found fellaini out...with mourinho being the first manager to do his homework on fellaini. On a cruel day at Stamford bridge, zouma made fellaini his *****...like a dog on a leash. It's not fellaini. He one dimensional...put a tall, strong player on him and he's out....like a baby on ncqill.

Ashley young...ah...I feel for him...he's been injured for large period but when played, he's been a rightback! A left winger who terrorized right backs like bellerin is playing right back...unbelievable!

I just seen the interview on Sky from Martial ahead of the Sunday clash against Manchester City.

Wow what a grounded guy, well to be honest nothing really new as I was aware of it already but in an interview he comes across really well.

I agree with Giggs that he seems to be the young player that anyone joining our club should take example from. His mentality seems like a dream of what you would want in a young player.

Did you really just type that in light of recent events on both here and at both legs?

VERY poor turn of phrase.

Not everything revolves around that Scouse.

If ever two posts sums up whole situation it's these 2. Someone says something about playing victim card and the other one just assumes and links it to tragedy.

This is a HUGE Manchester derby in my opinion, 4 points behind currently, if we lost this that puts us 7 points behind and effectively out of the top 4 race. This is our only dwindling hope of top 4, this game is massive for us.

I think this is a great time to play City, no Kompany, pressure is on them as well, I think we'll no doubt **** it up though. This is our last chance to have a hope of salvaging top 4 in my opinion.

Calm ya ****, there's 24 points still to win, and the top 4 is as inconsistent as it gets. I fully expect the race to be wide open until the last 1-2 games.

This is United under LVG we're talking about, if we were 7 points behind with 8 games left, can you seriously see us going on a consistent run and another team totally cocking it up to recover such a gap? We have no consistency ourselves so we'll never recover a 7 point gap.

From the man himself.. LVG also believes it's do or die at City.

Indeed, the Dutchman accepted that defeat to City would all but end their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Asked if the game with City was "do or die," Van Gaal told reporters: "I think so, we are now four points behind so you have to win otherwise the gap is bigger and bigger and the matches that you have to play are not too many.
"I think the gap is then seven points and we have to play only another eight matches, so then it is very sharp to recover from that gap. It is still possible, but it is difficult because West Ham United are also in front, it is not only City."

Why not? City are in even worse form than you, they also lost Kompany for 6 weeks and they can't defend for **** without him.

LVG already pulled of a large recovery last year. It's not over until the fat lady signs mate, this season more then ever.

Again, are you a united fan?

Like LVG getting sacked at the end of the season?

There wont be sacking. It will be mutual.

But the thing is with it, when Fergie left, and Moyes came, I was excited. Like ******* properly excited. I even created David Moyes on FM and played as him..

Then I got reality check and turned out he was **** for us.

When Van Gaal came, I was - ok, well done Woodie. He's somewhat similar to Sir Alex, he will bring balance to the team and he might win something. Was thinking about creating him as well, and playing as him like i did for Moyes, but I was superstitious and I didn't want to jinx it.

Now, when it's almost certain that season is over, and we are getting new manager in the summer, I am anything but excited. I had faith in those two, I really did. But third manager after Sir Alex in 4 years does not excite me. Even if it's someone like Mou. Whoever it is, he'll have to win me first and THEN I'll think about creating him and playing as him.

Point is - sacking only fix half of the problem at max.

I'm just still furious at the fact that LVG never replaced di maria.
