@Devildart180 his Agent agreed a pre contract with United (that should pay a fee if becomes not contract). That's why i said expected to Be.

It could be as simple has he preferred Bayern to United tbh. And United didnt want to pay 80m Euros. Doesn't need a conspiracy

I wouldn't go as far as to say he'd be a definitive leveller in that regard if you're up against a Champions League club with a similar stature of manager. But he'd certainly make a player's decision that much more tougher than Van Gaal in charge ever would.
