I wouldn't go as far as to say he'd be a definitive leveller in that regard if you're up against a Champions League club with a similar stature of manager. But he'd certainly make a player's decision that much more tougher than Van Gaal in charge ever would.

For 90% of targets he levels things out. For the other 10%, we'd usually miss out anyway. On a realistic targeting side, he levels things out. Much better manager, removes uncertainty of last year in contract

Still crazy money for an inexperienced 18 year old with a mere 33 first team appearances under his belt IMHO. But a whole lot less than what Utd kept getting linked to.

Benfica already released the terms of sale. It's confirmed as 35m+45m.

Van Gaal was sacked 7 times and he's still here, Renato was signed 12 times and he goes to Bayern, and Mourinho already has a contract, a pre-contract or a gentelman's agreement, depending on day of the week..

I like Pjanic and have watched Roma a lot this season he really wouldn't be much if any upgrade on Herrera. Don't think he's as good as he was last year or the year beforehand.

With Carrick going we need someone who can influence and dictate the play from deep, he would be able to do that far more effectively than Herrera.

Pjanic's passing would really help us and help link up attacks, I like Herrera don't get me wrong but his passing range is limited and lets his overall game down. Pity really because if he had better passing range he would nearly be a perfect all round midfielder.

Who do you want then, out of curiosity? In the midfield area this summer.

Pjana is inconsistent. Thats his problem. If it wasn't for that, he'd be on Modric's level easily.

I would but a cheeky bid for Napalmys Mendy. He would be cheap, and he's industrious midfielder, and god knows we need one. But ideal player would be Krychowiak. Can play CD as well. Strong, smart, great defender and also good all round.

As for creative players, hmm, Tolisso from Lyon is worth of a mention. Wouldn't be cheap though. We need more creativity upfront IMO.

I don't think that's Pjanics role tbh, when I've seen Roma that's been De Rossi job and Pjanic has been more forward and creative. I would like someone like Xhaka/Goretzka/Kroos highly unlikely and been very impressed with Danouhd this season. Would also like us to go for Saul but he's a different type of CM.

I like Krycowiak but I think we're fine for BTB/DMs. Tbh I think Blind could perfectly replace Carrick.

Gonna' guess it could well be pretty naughty tonight given it's both West 'Am's last game at Upton Park and the long standing history between them and Utd.
