The Manchester United Thread

Not serious by three games obviously, two as sub appearance but when you are buying someone at this age you would usually see a spark or something at least to justify the hype. Honestly I saw nothing other than his physical build which would suit PL and work rate. But you can get many players with them traits, you need something more then that.
Same things said about Kante when scouted. Same things said about Martial, who you yourself doubted. Depay has the hype, it hasn't worked so far, Vidic didn't, legendary player. Hype is zero judge of ability

Get ******* Nampalys Mendy. I see Leicester sniffing around him already. He's a **** beast I promise you. You can't even find a good compilation of him on YouTube, but he's a Kante like player with good passing.

From what I've been reading it's all but done. Good replacement for Kante wherever he ends up.

And on Embolo I watched him at least 10 times last season for Basel maybe a bit more. Yes he is very raw but he has pace, power and fairly good dribbling and he works his *** off. Sometimes his touch is poor and he looks like he should hold the ball up better, but he is still young and will only get stronger as he keeps rowing and developing. I'm telling you now and you can quote me on this. If we don't sign him and he ends up at say Liepzig or Dortmund type club I bet my house in the next two to three years this guy and Ounas will be going for 2-3 times as much. These two players have serious ability!!!

Look back at United over the last 20 years. Think people have forgotten how we used to operate. Bring though local talent, and bring in rising hungry players from elsewhere. Some decent, some potential worldies. Bring them here because we offer a good chance and money and glory, and mould them into understanding what it takes, and above all COACHING them to be the best. I capitalise that because it's being forgotten by many recent mangers and fans alike. Leicester isn't luck. Other teams were poor, but they were coached brilliantly. Embolo is raw, baillys raw Rashford is raw, even martial is raw. All the older players can still learn. You don't just buy players who are ready, but player who can either teach you something (bastian, zlatan, Carrick, Rooney) or are ready to learn (everyone else) anyone who doesn't fit either category, is a player who you sell.

People rating Embolo over 3 games in the Euros? Really?

Let's do that with everyone. Ronaldo is **** right guys?

I dont rate him one bit. I really cant see what all the fuss is about. Yes hes young, but In my opinion if your good enough to step up to one of the worlds best clubs and probably the best league in the world, he needs to be doing more than what hes doing currently in a poor swiss league. To put it into perspective, look at what Rashford has done this year. If he was playing in the swiss league at his current level your probably looking at 20 league goals. Thats the level you should be at at that age in that level of league to go on to a top club.

Even Wilson. Imagine him playing week in week out in the Swiss league. Id be confident in him getting 15/20 goals a season playing for a top team in that division. So is it worth spending upwards of £20m on Embolo when we have our own capable of doing as good if not better without paying a penny? Just my opinion.
I thought we were getting him for 15 million?

I'd say the club has more than a fair share of future prospects as it is, and sensible thing to do would be *gasp* buying people who are first team ready.

Like Henrik to play down the right? Zlatan coming in up front. Question is whether we need an all star CM now

Yeah CM is an Interesting one. Maybe Gomes, Carvalho, Matic, would not mind a pop at someone like Dahoud who really came on leaps last season also like Arnold if we're looking for someone more creative. Who you reckon we are looking at? Not many names going round atm which is not a bad thing!

It will all be dealt with post Euros. Lots of targets are going to depend on players moving around.

Sounds like things are moving on at a pace with Mky sounds like Dortmund are willing to sell now. And are looking for replacements

Good summary of someone that has watched Embolo from the age of 13

Personally I rate him very high. He's a humble person (which I think is a big stregth) with the wrong consultant (Shaqiri's brother).

Strengths:
- Vision
- Defensive workrate
- Coolness in front of goal
- Speed combinded with athletism

Weakness:
- Inconstant
- Desicion-making

He reminds me of a young Drogba (Marseille time) even Embolo plays most the time as a winger. But that's only the first name which came to my mind...

This is the Internet mate, everybody lies. For instance, I'm actually Angelina Jolie, and I post on FM Base when Brad isn't home.

Then your team for next season is set being as you both claim to be L'pool fans. Time to come home girl. Your disruptive mission here is complete.

That was easy.
