Blind destroyed Lukaku competitively. Cant keep saying he's not a real CB, when real CBs make that exact mistake time and again.

Yeh, your common CB does, the top ones don't. Blind is good player but Smalling will take his spot.

Even top CBs make that mistake. Blind is a good solid CB with excellent distribution skills. He's not elite, but not many are these days. He's a great partner for a player like Smalling

What a boring game! And I'm sorry but Rojo really needs to sold...I just saw him get nutmegged by Thomas cleverly..

Shurrup! Not avin' that lad. If Cleverly megged someone it must of been a mistake and a complete miss-kick from him.

Only person he's ever megged is his himself when he's tried dribbling the ball!

Just got around to watching the game, I was out all evening and when I got back I avoided checking social media, livescore, fmbase etc to make it sort of feel like a live game... now I wish I ****** checked lol. Everton played like they were 1-0 up in the Champions League final for large parts of the game, felt to me as if they were under instruction from Koeman to treat this like they're away at Old Trafford on April 4th, in which it would've been a good point to come away with. United still seem to be lacking that little bit of cutting edge, and I'm actually not quite sure that one more game (Community Shield) will be enough to have everyone at their optimum level of sharpness for the start of the league campaign, I know it was just going to be one extra game, but it's a real pity that the weather/conditions prevented them from finishing their China tour, I hope I'm just being a pessimistic waffle and that I'm wrong, but that is just niggling at me. I'd be looking to see a lot more conviction in the final third at the weekend. The only thing I will say that defends the lads effort tonight, Everton, as I already said, really got men behind the ball and treated it like a proper competitive game. Also, I really rate Seamus Coleman, the defensive side of his game has came on leaps and bounds for a fullback who was mainly noticed for his attacking capabilities over the past couple of seasons.

Anyone see Rooney having a wee chuckle with lads on the bench at Depays failed attempt of an overhead? I know it's just a little thing, but that on top of some of the clips from open training sessions, just seems to me like there's a real good harmony amongst the squad.

Tbh I was surprised how under cooked Everton looked considering they have played about 4 more games than us already. Koeman will defo have them more solid defensively this season. Not to concerned by our lads. Yes more games would of been ideal, but we already seem pretty well set up in the defensive side. And I've been encouraged enough about how much quicker we are getting the ball to the final 3rd quicker already under Mou and the fluidity of the attacking players. Like Ferdienand said last night in commentary it will take the lads at least a full 4 weeks to be up to complete fitness and sharpness.

****** ****, pray to the gods that Rooney isn't getting a new contract as James Ducker reported. Would be utter stupidity.

I don't know what it is with this club and realising when the time has come but we seem to be shocking at it. Rooney is done, he may show the odd glimpse here and there but that's all it ever will be now.

Him and Zlatan up front was like watching pedestrians at a crossing last night with the (lack of) movement at times, although there was some good link up play. But seriously if we want to challenge this season we need to offer more than we did in an attacking sense last night.

Our attacking play will be miles better than we showed last night. Players have not been back training long. Many not even played 90 mins if any have. Plus new manager and ideas etc to be learned. Add Pogba to the mix. Plus Rio and Hargreaves both said players won't hit there peak fitness or sharpness till about 4 weeks into the season. In the limited games so far I can already see encouragement in our attacking play and build up. But I agree I would not start both roo and Zlatan

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge criticises Manchester United over Bastian Schweinsteiger | Football News | Sky Sports

Whilst I completely agree with the sentiment, the Germans need to shut the **** up and keep out of an other clubs business!

Particularly Rummenigge in his current position at Bayern. That's being as unprofessional as he's accusing Utd of being.

Think they are just bitter that the Bundesliga is now effectively a feeder league to the Premier League.

To be honest this Schweinsteiger situation is very odd, not sure quite what to make of it yet, if his agents quotes are true that he is very happy etc. then I assume this whole situation has been taken out of context. But we'll only see in the coming weeks if Mourinho has any plans for him.

Never listen to Ruminegge. Never seen a man so bitter. Been having a pop at City recently

Been an awful lot of speculation about our side. TFM both has a role in the first team and is being sold according to the same paper. Go figure

Lol true. And they handled the Gotze situation loads better.

Didn't bayern put schweinsteger in the reserves in 2005?

A member of Fifpro (players union) has accused United/Mourinho of bullying Schweinsteiger

"If this would have happened in Slovenia, we would have indicted Jose Mourinho and asked for the highest penalty possible because he’s setting a bad example.
“This is clearly meant to discourage Bastian. Unfortunately, a lot of our fans accept that. Because he’s idolised and he’s getting a lot of money, he can be treated differently. They do not perceive our rights as equal to their rights just because we earn a lot of money and that’s not right.
“He should turn to the PFA and he should file a complaint and I would also seek a penalty for Mourinho.”
He says United should "try mild measures. Reinstate him back into training with the first team. Of course this doesn't mean that he has a right to play, but he has to undergo the same treatment as most of the other players".
How far should the punishment go?
"I would take it to the ordinary court. In our case, the penal code is quite clear. If there is bullying and harassment, there's a prison sanction, a maximum of three years in prison.
"(This is) in Slovenia and in most countries in Europe, but nobody applies that (to football). Usually, in our case, it's enough for us to call the club and just threaten but nobody seems to have done it yet in England."

I'm not a happy if Bastian is training with the u-21's but, surely if he is then it is a demotion and not bullying

Yep

"Nothing like that has ever happened at Bayern Munich."
Schweinsteiger forced his way back into the first-team fray at Bayern after being told in 2005 by then-coach Felix Magath to train with the reserves since he did not have a place for him in the first team.

This is nonsense, pure tripe, it has escalated from being demoted to bullying. Does this guy even know what the two even means? Judging by this not.

Also saying he would take it to court.... well a stupid plonker this guy is. Seriously then mentions a prison sentence afterwards, for real? Your honour, I found Mr. Mourinho guilty of dropping a player to reserves and making him train with them.

Even if he did train with reserves it isn't no where near as much of a meal as this guy likes to make it out to be.

That situation seems more reasonable though. He'd of been young still and wasn't being frozen out (or whatever is actually happening right now), just asked to prove himself to get back in to the 1st team

Exactly, he was like 18 back then. A youngster being made to play with U21, isn't the same as world champion, champions league winner being made to play with U21.
