Right ok. Now the hysteria has died down, and people start to look at the game for what it was rather then the BT Sport Comentator *** Fest, Bailly was absolute ***** again. Is there really only me that can see this without red blinkers on? He cant read a game for ****. The only thing he's got his pace, and 90% of the time that is only to recover a mistake hes aready made and flies back and dives in.

Good job today was classed as a friendly or he would have been off when he clattered into the player in their box near the end. think we had a corner that was cleared to the edge of the box and he completely wiped out the player. And that was attacking a ball. In defense he closes his eyes and jumps hoping to hit something. There is nothing cool, calm or collected about his game whatsoever. He's like a headless chicken. and for £30m somebody is having a big **** up there. Hes done nothing Paddy Mcnaire wasnt doing 2 seasons ago. Avtually Mcnaire was a lot better. For some reason last season LVG frozen McNaire out and went for Blind. Not a bad move considering how he played but £30m on Bailly who cant read a ball coming in for ****, and relies on his pace to drag him out of this **** time and time again, he wont last 2 minutes in the premiership.

I honestly to god hope im wrong, after all Vidic and Evra looked **** until they started the next season but i really dont see it in Bailly. He cant read a game, he's constantly caught on the wrong side and the only thing he has is his pace to recover. But even then he goes diving in. Hes gonna cost a lot of goals unless he learne fast.

All BT did was comment on him being there for clearances and his pace getting back. What they didnt say is if he had half of carricks brain he would be stepping into the hole to intercept the ball. Instead he charges in, almost giving away a free kick, then goes charging infor a loose ball he should have already dealt with and is 2 inches away from bringinh a man down in the box.

People will say im having a go and Bailly needs time. I get that but I say it how it is. At the moment id even play Rojo over Bailley. And i wouldnt have even bought him. Id have put McNair in his place. I would have even brough Keane back instead of paying that on Bailly. Should never have sold Keane in the first place. Should have ****** Jones off. But thats another story lol.

Are you serious? :O

Dude, bailly was great. I'm not saying this because he's a united player and I just complement every player in a red shirt. For example, I thought ibrahimovic was utter **** if you take away his goal but bailly had vardy in his pocket all game. Only reason he actually scored was because of broccoli

He had a couple of occasions where he was very brash and had moments of pure brilliance. I.e that tackle on vardy that stopped a 2 v 1 situation in the 1st half and dominated wes morgan in set pieces, which is NEVER an easy task.

I'm confident he can go on to be a top class center back as he shows a lot of potential. Jesus, even my friends that are Liverpool fans praised his performance.

Yes the goal was ultimately down to Fellaini, but watch it back. Bailly was ball watching and when Fellaini made the pass he was completely wrong footed and not in the position he should have been.

But forget that. Watch the game back. He did a **** of a lot of tackles and clearances, but look at how many of those was just recoveries from his **** up's in the first place. And like I said, if that wasnt a glorified friendly he would have been off for the amount of tackles he flew into like a headless chicken trying to recover.

Its easy to praise a performance when a commentator is picking up on all the good stuff and mentioning it, but from my eyes the only good stuff he did was getting back and diving into clearances coz hed completely ****** up with his reading of the game in his move beforehand, which presented Leicester with the opportunity.

All i can say is wait till Gary Neville rips him apart coz he will say it how it is. Bailly may have potential, but he doesnt have anywhere near £30m worth when he looks at best a squad player and we have sold the likes of Michael Keane that would have done just a good job if not better, and McNair. Even Fosu-Mensah looked a lot more composed last season, even at his age and in proper matches.

As soon as Smalling is back, Bailly will be carted and it will go back to Smalling/Blind partnership

How are you supposed to ball watch a rubbish back pass ffs? He offered fellaini the option to pass to him but he picked de gea. He saw vardy latched onto an awful ball and did his best to track back to see if he could get an off the line clearance.

Bailly was the only player that genuinely impressed me today. Lingard, apart from his goal, was pretty average today. De gea didnt have much to do. For you to say McNair is better is just absurd. Jamie vardy would run circles around mcnair. What game did you actually watch?

He's got that raw aggression about him that I like, something reminiscent to vidic. Rojo's is just **** stupid. He gets owned waaay to easily and is very lazy in a tackle.

And you talk up Micheal Carrick, the brain, where was he today? He was absolute *****! If that's brains then pace and power all day long.

He was supposed to anticipate a professional footballer messing up a pass most 5 year olds can get right? He had a good game against the second top scorer last season and made some great tackles. He made on mistake and that was it, I think he will go onto be really good

Rewatching the goal there is definitely nothing that Bailly could do Fellaini had run to close to him for him to be able to react to the pass and as he was trying to get out of the path of the back pass Vardy gave him no chance.

Although the one thing I would say is he does just stand there and do nothing which isn't great, it is Blind who goes back to try and make the goal line clearance. Think even Andre Marriner would struggle to mix the two of them up, not that similar looking.

Lol WTF how can anyone blame Bailly for the goal. Don't know what's red tinted about saying he had a good game because nearly everyone I have spoke to have said the same and that's including non Utd fans who were massively impressed. He was playing his first competitive game at Wembley against the league champs and one the hardest teams to defend against in the league with all that pace up top.

Can't really pick on Bailey for not trying to rush back. The only person that did was Blind.

Thought Bailey had a good game. Bit too aggressive and should be more disciplined in that regard, but he looks to be a solid investment.

After Mourinhos comments after the match yesterday there is no way Bailly is being carted it will be Blind. And if your read Nevilles tweets yesterday he was impressed by Baillry apart from he said he's was a little rash at times. You must of just been watching another game to everyone else fans and pundits alike.

Fair assessment that. That's one of the reasons Mourinho went after him because he was a powerful aggressive tackler suited to the Prem. Wants Mourinho has ironed out those few kinks he will be some player.

Mate, blaming Bailly for that stupid goal we've conceded after Fellaini's horror back pass got me like:

Happy with that.

Yeh not sure what the Bailly hate is about, looked impressive, has an aura about him which is rare to have in the backline since Vidic days so I welcome it. Although you've got to accept that he may be rash sometimes, kind of the defender he is. But I am impressed so far.

Exactly of sure he's gonna be a bit rash at times and give away the odd silly card or foul. What do people expect when he's only just turned 23. His rise has been rapid the last few years after an impressive first season at Villareal, and his key role in his country winning the AFCON. Defo has an aura about him and you just feel confident he will win most things and make the tackles and recover well with his pace. It's a bonus he's good with his feet. Loved it when Vardy was chasing him down the Bailly just flicked the ball over his head and stitched him like a kipper :)

Lingard's goal was class tbf, if Messi had of done that people would of been creaming themselves.

Yeah, where are the people who wanted Lingard sold, I wonder?

I'm here. (A)

Fair play. This is why I want him kept. Going to buy a squad player who can have moments like him would cots us 25m. He's free, homegrown and loves the club. No brainer for me.
