Please no Fellaini!
I actually thought he was good in those 4 games we won in a row. I know not against the best oppo, but he still was good at breaking up attacks.

Expect to see

DDG
Valencia-Smalling-Bailly-Blind
Herrera-Fellaini
Pogba
Lingard- Zlatan- Martial

Dont think Shaw will start after only a few training sessions, same for Mky. And actually think Fellaini and Herrera will do good job in front of the back 4. And freeing up Pogba to feed the front 3 and start attacks. And like Scouse said a lot of flair players Mata,Mky,Rashford, Rooney then maybe Darmian and Schniederlin and Carrick on the bench.

Rooney and Fellaini start then I will concede the game to Liverpool now.

We can only hope, selection is going to be crucial for this game.

Then why did you list Carrick? He never had any pace to start with. At 35 and with a mere three games under his belt this year he'd be completely goosed and ready to come off before the first half was over the relentless pressure we play at.

Don't like gentleman bets when taking an underdog team, United can be got at 13/5 in the bookies

I put a fiver on Rashford to score first and a Liverpool 3-1 win @ 125/1 (just for the craic).

Getting through the first 45 is most important, with someone like Carrick playing a holding role similar to what Herrera has been doing we will have composure and will be efficient in starting counter attacks. Plus he knows as well as anyone the occassion at Anfield and how to play against your press. He has done it against better sides such as Barcelona. His lack of playing time is a concern but if he can't be used in a game bit pointless even having him.

Did you read his comments? There was literally nothing wrong in them at all.

I did. And I wouldn't disagree personally speaking.

But you can't flip it round as a manager to be deemed to put putting pressure on the referee.

It's the FA. Just say nottin'.

FA know they ballsed up. I don't doubt his integrity but needless controversy

Manchester United have regained their status as the world’s most popular football club by sales of official replica shirts according to authoritative new research.

The Old Trafford club sold an average of 1.75m shirts per year in the five-season period from 2011-12 to 2015-16 inclusive.

That puts them in the No1 spot in European football – and the world. The data has been compiled by industry insider Dr Peter Rohlmann and his team at the consulting bureau, PR Marketing, and is published for the first time bySportingintelligence today.

Real Madrid are No2 in the list, averaging 1.65m shirts per year in the period under review ahead of Barcelona in third, Bayern Munich in fourth and Chelsea in fifth.

Honestly this feels like the eve of the Premier League openers or something, I'm just so excited for tomorrow night's match. When Liverpool could've won the title a few years back, we were ****... when we were winning titles in recent years, no disrespect to Liverpool, they were ****... and over the last couple of seasons, we've both been ****. This is probably the first time in a long time (maybe even the 2008/2009 season) that we both face each other as proper title challengers. (Before the "You're **** this year too and aren't contenders" comments, it's clear as day we're improving game by game and reigniting our attacking style of play which in the long run, will cement)

I'd put it more role reversal. Utd 7th and L'pool 4th looking at going top/ joint top with a win ..... Most every other PL season you could flip the teams around.

The Europa tie. That was where it felt a real passing on the stairs moment. Similar to the game back in '92 Utd lost at Anfield to hand Leeds the league when L'pool finished 6th. You may of lost the game and league that day, but Utd were by far the better side all that season (sorry et man, they were), and it was only a matter of time before the title drought ended. One club was going one way. The other, the other.

Without getting into a no ending debate on the current standing of both clubs, fully expecting tomorrow night to be another of those moments and hammer home the difference.

Enjoy the game.

For someone who said they would be stepping out you have been commenting here a lot
