The Manchester United Thread

If you don't beat Swansea then you have got massive cause for concern.

They are in absolute turmoil and a knocking bet for relegation. They've a worse side now than the one they got promoted with under Rodgers. Unreal how a picture perfect way to run a modern day football club has turned to absolute **** SO fast on and off the pitch with an ownership change.

Absolute carnage going on in South Wales.
Here's what I believe could happen...7 one v ones missed by zlatan...22 shots on target...41 overall....final score
Swansea 1:0 United :(

True, well, the league hinges on Swansea for me. If we don't beat them we can pretty much write off anything happening this season as regards to top 4. No way this team is coming back from more than an 8 point defecit just off the top 4 places alone.

We did from 15 or 16 points behind Spurs.

Going past one team is always doable, but going past 4-5 teams with double digit point deficit is near impossible.

And it can get into double digit very quickly. United are currently 5 points and goal difference behind Spurs on 5th, and after Swansea game they have in-form Arsenal.

I'd say they need at least 4 points from next two games or they are ******.

And well into the season if I do recall lol.

Again, the mentality of the team, moving forward, is poor...I understand conceding a spectacular goal like the one by sow but our reaction didn't fill me up with any confidence that we were going to get back in it. Very pedestrian...no one really trying anything new bar 2 runs from martial in the 2nd half and the rooney goal (of course). Pogba going off injured is like having a splinter in the wounds....smh.

Imagine if we win at Old Trafford... absolute ******* cannage. I think you'll beat Swansea and do the 0-0 at Old Trafford by parking the bus.

'88/'89 we came from a massive deficit on Arsenal only to lose it the last game. (Still say Smith never touched that header!). I'm going to say 18 points but don't quote me. It was a long time back lol. Certainly a real big gap. From losing at Utd 3-1 New Years day we never lost again until Arsenal the last game in a **** of a run.

But this Utd side ain't either of those sides.

Michael Thomas?

I actually think we should put rooney back into the XI now...why? Because anytime he scores a spectacular goal like that, especially tp end his droughts, he hits his typical green patch where he scores in every game.

Hasn't he got a rumoured attitude problem. I remember him and Jurgen didn't see eye to eye back in dortmund. Perhaps that the reason why Mourinho aint playing him.

If you look at recent reports, he is the first one in for training every time and is an absolute gentleman who is very popular with the staff.

Yeah don't think it's his attitude. Everyone talks well of him. Just takes longer than norm to settle. He was poor last night TBH, especially his passing and how many he under hit. Put it down to lack of game time.

very poor, but nice to see mkhtarayan get some game time

Conidering Mourinho has criticised him again make the most of it, as we might need see him again for a while knowing how Jose works.

Just wondering how quickly Mourinho is going to lose the dressing room at this rate.

This is another example what I was trying to impart to you the other day in just how antwacky (Scouse word. Old fashioned) he is compared to the more vibrant breed that have moved with the evolving game now competing against him in England.

His methods from every standpoint are becoming outdated and the game is passing him by.
