The Manchester United Thread

Maybe he should have then he would still be a Chelsea player and not at Man City ;)

I agree we can speculate all day long. Point I have been trying to get across is that there are big question marks over his transfer record at Chelsea. I hope for my sake that what you say is true because seeing how good De Bruyne is now really beggars the 'what if..' ;)

Its just an opinion Scouse just like your opinion in the summer about how Chelsea will never make the Top 4 ;)

In all seriousness, I do believe he is POTY and at the very least, a world-class player who should never have been sold from Chelsea. Happy to discuss this with you but this is not the thread!

Yup, happily hold my hands up there. Got that one WELL wrong. Can't see the current top 4 changing at all. I still fear City far more than yourself's FWIW as the team we have to finish ahead of for the league but that's probably for one of the other three relevant threads as you mentioned.

They don't need to hear about a title race in this one. They have enough problems as it is. ;).

Granted it's a long time since I was last in a maths class, but I'm only counting 4 names there. (With De Bruyne.) .....

Hence the '....' I can't decide on the last one ;)

Maybe Coutinho but he's missed a few games

Payet would be racking up way more assists in team that isn't playing *****.

Mane doing really well so far at Liverpool too

Frankly speaking, I am happy if Chelsea get Top 4. As fun as this winning streak has been, I do feel it somewhat exaggerates the quality of our squad. Still feel we are 2-3 signings away from building a proper world class team.

Could be worse I suppose, could be Norbert! XD

GOD NO! Then I'd have to love you. You'd be making everyone laugh. Everyone else would love you too.

That wouldn't be good! :@.

Stay Blue .... Joe. It's easier that way! :P.

Off you again zz. Never have I said that I am not happy with all the success that Jose has brought to this club. All I did was raise arguments over his transfer record in the past 2-3 years which you clearly have no response to which is why you suddenly go on this ludicrous angle of how I am not thankful to Mourinho etc.

I've already responded to this and it's tiresome, honestly. Mata is a better all round player than he was back at Chelsea and De Bruyne had a work ethic issue that Jose saw in training hence selling him at the time. That's all there is to it, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't question Jose's transfers under us so far and that's all I really care about. If you want to believe that he did bad business for Chelsea that's fine, I just beg to differ. Fabregas was one of your main players in why you won title season before last.

Lets not forget your best player this season Diego Costa was signed under Mourinho. The rest of your team has been good but Costa is the guy your team hinges on, without him I couldn't see who you'd even replace him with.

Yeah, the jury really isnt out on Bailly at all. He's been outstanding.

Mata is without doubt a better player than at Chelsea, he's actually rounded out his game.

Jose by and large did excellent business at Chelsea, no manager is perfect.

Finished 2-2 goals from Demi Mitchel absolute worldie and a Peno from Goss who was fantastic. Missed another peno from Harrop. Good to see Buffonge and Gribbin get mins. Let's see who we get in knock out stages.

Manchester United have asked fans whether they want standing back at Old Trafford if it was made legal.

Premier League clubs recently held initial talks on the possibility of introducing safe standing at grounds.

Top flight and Championship stadiums have had to be all-seater since terraces were outlawed in the aftermath of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.

Safe-standing areas, featuring retractable seats, are used at Celtic and abroad, notably in Germany.

Premier League chiefs have acknowledged a "softening" around the topic of standing clubs, with an improved atmosphere cited as one of the benefits, and clubs have agreed to hold further talks in the new year.

But some clubs - including Everton - are against it and it would need government legislation to change if safe standing was introduced at stadiums in England.

United contacted season-ticket holders on Thursday and included the question in a 20-point survey.

Supporters were asked for the three areas of Old Trafford - the biggest club ground in the UK, with a capacity of 75,635 - that they would prefer standing to be introduced.

It is believed to be the first time a Premier League club has surveyed its fans about the idea of bringing standing back to English grounds.

Jon Darch, who runs the Safe Standing Roadshow, which promotes the use of rail seats, said: "I am sure that the level of interest will be huge and look forward both to hearing the results and to seeing other Premier League clubs follow suit and ask their fans if they would also like to be formally allowed to stand at games in dedicated areas of rail seating, specifically designed for safe standing."

We would be a fool to reject safe standing, it will only make the atmosphere better and that will ultimately benefit the team in big moments.
