Yeh but at the end of the day you can only assess on how he officiated the game and generally at Anfield no clangers were made. It was **** refereering and constant petty blowing the whilstle for every half tackle but apart from that.

The point being he's from South Manchester.

He shouldn't be ANYWHERE near a City/ Everton/ L'pool or Utd game. Aside from the fact he shouldn't be a top flight referee to start with.

He and Dean are special cases. Dean is a clear danger to footballer's health some of the tackles he lets go. Henderson was lucky to not have a season ender the Derby a few weeks back and the West Ham tattle on Metal Mickey that went unpunished could of been far more costly to his health. Then he shows red for very little. Not even sure that was a foul. Just a fair 50/50 challenge. But Taylor is just beyond terrible. It's not that you can even accuse him of bias toward either Manchester side. He's completely incompetent to whomever he officiates.

But being from South Manchester, it shouldn't even be an option for people to be able to suggest that.

Klopp. Guardiola and Koeman need to barrage the FA the same way Rodgers did to get the ***** who's name escapes me removed from their games. And he shouldn't be placed in front of a Utd game ever again either.

I normally couldn't give a flying F about the ref. as things even out and it's pointless getting narked over poor officiating but this with Taylor is nothing shy of an absolute disgrace what's going on with his appointments.

I agree with you generally pal, the refereeing consistency is shocking this season, there isn't any. At this level of officiating you expect all the officials to be on the same wave length and to be consistent on their decision making. Especially what constitutes a dangerous tackle and a straight sending off. It just seems to me that these referees are not singing from the same hymn sheet. There needs to be a shake up for sure, but I still not keen on the idea of video technology to play more a part other than for goal line technology at the moment. It will ruin the game of football if you get a stop start game like Rugby.

considering the ground we lost i think finishing in the top four will please most united fans.The team is improving all the time and is still not what jose wants in terms of performance or personnel but we are doing what is asked of us and cant ask for much more at this stage.Personally i think we will just make top four

I think its a more a matter of just how good the top 5 have been this season. Any other season and 6 straight wins will get you right back into the title hunt!

It's a mixture. United lost too many silly points in the earlier parts of the season, either due to REALLY silly late individual errors, or poor finishing/heroic keeping from the opposite #1, when the collective performances have more than warranted the wins. Of course, the ruthlessness of the top 5 have made sure that those earlier errors by us won't be easily redeemed, but it's a mix of both.

All we can do is do our own business, as we've been doing, and keep chipping away at lost points (City on Saturday, Liverpool today, hopefully Spurs tomorrow as Chelsea are too far ahead for us).
