The Manchester United Thread

Yeah, the handling of Mkhitarian makes zero sens to me. He gets frozen out for months for no plausible reason, comes back, plays amazing, and apparently I'm supposed to believe this is due Mourinho doing some magic voodoo. Except he barely even played before being frozen out? He could've been ripping **** since day one for all we know if he was actually allowed on the ******* pitch.

The funniest explanation I've read is that he needed to toughen up physically. Yeah, that totally makes sense that Mkitarian needed to add some muscles, while his position was taken by a well known hardman, Juan "The Hulk" Mata.

Seriously.

It's an observation I've made through the years. Mourinho is a propaganda artist. I've heard of some fans turning on Martial who single handedly fired United into Europe. The man management of Martial has been poor. He blames referees, the FA and makes the fantasy paranoid of some vast conspiracy against him. He'll bench Castilla, Martial, Costa, Hazard to make sure he's the only leader of the dressing room. He'll then freeze out players comfortably better than those starting (De Bruyne, Filipe Luis, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku). He'll then convince supporters that the club. Is under attack and that he's the saviour. He hasn't done anything tactically relevant since 2012.

Superstars were signed in the summer and United were expected to win the league after spending £150 Million. United would have shocking displayed vs Chelsea (h), Liverpool (a), City (h), Watford (a) and many other fixtures. You're 6th place in December despite expectations of challenging/winning through league and Mourinho gets a free pass. I think there needs to be a reality check. Mourinho is no longer good enough and Pogba/Ibra didn't deliver until October. Arguably the best United player (Mhkitaryan) was left for entire months. Where are Shaw, Rashford and Martial? Plenty of arrogance at the start of the season.

"If, at the end of the season, somebody who is champion has been better than us, then great - that is football. In this moment as Manchester United football club, we cannot speak differently. We are going to fight for the title.

"Many more think the same way as us but they are afraid to say it. They prefer not to, and prefer to play a defensive game in words. They prefer to say, or to hide, or play with the words, defensively. That's not our way. I don't think that's Manchester United.

Be very careful United fans. Soon, you'll fall into the trap of defending his every move. He did that at Inter, Chelsea and Madrid. Not he's doing it with United. Mourinho isn't stupid, he knows exactly what he's doing. I'm going to make a prediction that he'll eventually be sacked. Under no circumstances should any young talent be sold, especially Martial. The gap in quality between Martial and Dembélé/Mbappe/Lemar is miniscule compared to the gap between Mourinho and better coaches .

He was a great coach in a prime cut cannot go near GOAT. He is trophy record is good but doesn't stack up to a Bob Paisley. He hasn't been an innovative coach at all either. It's hard to see what he's good at. He was good with the low block a decades ago but decent coaches have worked round with positional play.

100% right, man is finished and the deluded top reds won't see this. There are few better young talents in the world than martial, while they are many managers that are better and can replace him. Sampaoli, poch, blanc, tuchel are not all just better, but available as well. One of Poch and sampaoli would be my choice from those 4.

He's truly amazing with convincing the fanbase of his club that he's a god like manager. Remember Chelsea in December last season. He convinced every chelsea fan that Hazard, costa and fabregas were the 3 rats that were the reason behind their abysmal season. In truth, 2/3 of those players are currently leading Chelsea to another premier league title. Honestly, if was in charge in head of propaganda for North Korea, I 100% believe he could even convince the US that North Korea and their leader have good intentions and treat their citizens well.

I want to show you all a thread by a twitter user, this isn't me, but he makes some great points.

They had been the best team in the league for a 6 week stretch base upon individual quality. I've been wholly consistent. The squad built will be great but Mourinho isn't a good enough coach. I never said he was good enough. The team will win trophies one way or another. I'm shocked he's pulling this with Martial. I'm not bipolar at all. I haven't contradicted anything. I've stated before that Van Gaal is a far superior coach. Edit: The only useful part of Mourinho are his connections (agent).

It's a weird opinion as many players and coaches/ coaching staff who have worked with him and under him say the opposite. What are you actually basing your opinion on Mou being a poor coach on? The same you was saying about Goss despite never have hardly seen or know anything about him!

It's weird how people say he's a poor manager/coach/man manager despite us playing our best and most consistent football since Fergie later years, and the the huge improvement on certain players performances since they've been at the club Rojo, Mata, Herrera, Lingard and not to mention the miracle he has worked with Jones since joining

Damola is trolling lads...lol. He pretty much gave it away with the "LVG is a far superior manager" line

Definitely putting damola and latinized on ignore. Can't be dealing with this much drivel on a weekend

Looking at Van Gaal's managerial credentials. It's far superior to Mourinho's. He's one of the greatest of all time. He changed football tactically and has been a relevant coach for decades.

Being sold to QPR at 21 after making just 4 u-19 international appearances suggest there's next to no chance he'd make it at this level.

Mourinho couldn't even coach what Hull did the other day. Every team would play like Guardiola if their manager could coach it.

You've never been used to entertaining football. Try watching Napoli, Sevilla or BVB. You can't seriously believe he's a miracle worker. He's vastly underpeforming. He relied of individual quality alot.

He stopped being relevant since his time at AZ. Not to mention he got out coached by mourinho in the 2009 UCL final

Tyton. It's wasn't toughening up for Miki. He physically behind fitness wise, and at the start he wasn't really dealing well with being taken out the side, and settling in. It wasn't Mourinho trying to break him any more than it was Mourinho being a genius. Just a player needing some time, and a manager doing what was expected in getting him there. The only issue was the lack of talk around it which fuels all sorts of speculation.

Latinized stinks of a multi-account user, creating and using this account to troll. Pretending he's a United fan while saying all this negative ****, when really he probably supports Liverpool or something.

TOD, I think Goss will go on to be a very good player, I think he will need to kick on in the championship quickly and progress back into the Premiership, hopefully somewhere like Bournemouth
