The Manchester United Thread

Very poor argument that. Falcao was poor because he wasn't fit and rushed back from a couple of serious injuries. And when he did play it was in a team creating next to no chances per game. If he came and played in a good team and was completely fit, he would of been banging them in. Can't believe you can't see Cavani is a top STR averaging about 30-40 goals the last 5-6 seasons.
Cavani scores 1 goals with every 5 chances he gets. Not a sign of a top striker imo. He's like giroud in the sense that he would go on a scoring streak then endure a long *** drought. I believe before he scored against arsenal in october, he went 14 games without a goal or something.

My bad its just I still dont know what Fellaini does on a football pitch to this day. Still feel it was harsh to blame the forwards considering how Brom set up.
Oh yeah was gonna be tough no matter what. But some of the decision making was terrible. And considering the pace we had non of them were really making runs in behind. Just one of those days for Mkytarian nothing came off and his touch and passing were all over the place. Looked a bit leggy to me. Watched him for Armenia and he did get kicked to bits, maybe that had something to do with it.

Ibra has been like that this season tbh. Missed plenty but scored plenty also because we've created chances for him. Would be same for Cavani, it's not bad if you can get his numbers despite missing so many chances. You also have to remember his numbers would be even better as when Ibra was at PSG Cavani got shifted out wide. Who would you sign. Just out of curiosity?

Dembele from Celtic. He's got it all really: Strength, skill, aerial ability and a good finisher. His hold-up play is class too.

Ideally, I always wanted Dybala but it looks like a dream.

Dembele? We would have exactly the same problem now we are having when Zlatan is missing. I've seen him a lot this season, and he's shown potential but he's very raw! He's not on Cavani level.

I can't believe you're comparing Cavani to Giroud. My word. As for he only scores 1 in every 5 chances, which is not factual, he gets himself those chances better than almost any other striker in the game. Which is the hardest part.

So you're skeptical about Cavani because the French league is ****, yet you give an alternative that plays in the SPL for a team that's a level above anything in it.

He's more developed than Rashford. He isn't on cavani's level but has the potential ceiling to surpass cavani's current ability.

You obviously missed the point me and RhQQ were talking about. We need a proven goal scorer to rotate with Zlatan when he is injured or is missing for any reason. As Rashford is not ready yet.

My main issue with cavani is his consistency.

Aitor Karanka (recently departed Middlesbrough boss) has been offered a position in Jose's coaching staff. Would be a good addition?!

It's 2 years old but this kinda justifies my point.

Cavani is average at making chances for himself. He just takes a lot of shots from positions where most people wouldn't. I remember reading an interview with someone who played with him, way back when was 20 and first arrived to Europe. Even back then people would ***** that he shots all the time from awkward positions, only to realize that he often makes the net out of nowhere, sort of like RVP used to do.

So yeah, this is also why his conversion rates are ****, he just has weird playstyle I guess. Good player, if a bit of a big game bottler .

Scores 1 in 5 chances, lucky in a Man Utd side he'll get 5 a game most likely, so goal a game prob not a bad return :)

Not his biggest fan, but he isnt a terrible option

You just described Defoe lol.

Technically, Fellaini is the best midfielder I've ever worked with
