Take Matic every time tbh. Not sure we definitively need a another wide man, and that necessity will very much depend on Martial's consistentcy and willingness to learn. I'd personally be will to shelve any chase for a winger and watch what happens to Bale should Mbappe sign for Madrid

I think it all depends on the system we are going to play, If its 4-2-3-1 then i would say we need Perisic, If we are going to to use 4-3-3 then I personally dont think he is needed. Matic or DM is definitely needed though.

Tbh I thought if anything, we needed some attacking width on the right, as the only width we get on that side is Valencia. Mata, Mkhi, Lingard etc. all want to drift inside, at least Martial keeps it stretched on the left, irregardless of his tendency to turn in on his stronger foot.

I think that's part of Mous tactic, he wants the right winger to drift inside allowing the RB to push up?

As a fellow Swede I'd love that to happen, plays on the left. Great eye for an assist, reminds me a lot of Mkhitaryan in his playstyle.

Not as pacy and good at 1v1 as Perisic but a hard working winger with great technique, a lot like Mkhitaryan as I said! Also has great set pieces.. corners, FKs at goal and FK crosses.

The problem wasn't shaw, but the lack of DM cover to allow the full backs to break

If he has a season like last there will be lots of competition for his signature next summer when his release clause kicks in. Won't be moving this summer.

And that's why you feel he preferred to opt for more vigilance at LB? I thought it was perhaps because Shaw was a little too adventurous for the system he wanted, then again the links with Danny Rose would suggest that's not a quality Mourinho dislikes.

The same could probably be done if he played Shaw on the left and Darmian on the right

We don't have that natural attacking width on the right to compensate it though, unless Rashford is pushed out but that's very makeshift

That would be like Pool trying to get Keita. Very very hard this Summer

Don't think we even bid mate, just paper talk suggesting Milan are buying every player around when in truth we're only buying 80% of every player around.

(but not sure United would go for him if they want a wide player, he's an AMC and you have Mata and Mkhitaryan who easily cover there)

Sounds leaked to put pressure on Inter to me. Especially after a few reports since, saying Inter would most likely except a lower fee than originally reported.

Yeah I felt pretty sure he was going as well, I even saw him following Milan on Instagram amongst all the rumors.
