I just find it baffling how you think they would keep the one player they had made a promise could leave this summer.

I can see why they wouldn't sell to PSG and not sure about Juventus interest.

But anyway, Matic is better than no reinforcement, just wouldn't of been my choice.

Is he or is he not still at Monaco despite two clubs moving in on him?

And the Vice President has said he is not for sale.

You can talk about promises, but no one has been able to get him.

Tbf no one is able to get M'Bappe... but he'll still go if the price is right this summer. Same with Mendy and co.

If we're paying £50m for a 28 year old, I don't know as an investment, we can't go a bit higher than that for Fabinho. Who we would most likely have in our team for the 8-10yrs.

Fabinho ain't for sale at any cost this Summer same for Lemar. The Vice President said this. They've sold enough players and made a **** load of money, and invested wisely again to rebuild next season while still being competitive. Not sure Mbappe will move, they seem pretty sure he will sign a new contract. Those 3 will likely move next Summer.

in pogba we have one of the most athletic central mids in the game,matic would compliment him and herrera perfectly imo

its far from what he wants and will take time which i think he will get.we will certainly be closer to the eventual champions this time around

Why because he said it's not on the level of Madrid or Barca. Most managers think the same. Think we've have a good squad atm. Just need a couple more.

Not only that, he basically just earmarked Pogba as our only truly elite player. I just got the overall impression that he doesn't rate this squad at all.

I agree we're not on the level of Madrid or Barca, but the way he was saying it, just didn't sound right to do in public.

But, we really need to address these issues in this window, not another season of mediocrity and finishing outside top 4.

Get the DM in now, or else our season could be in tatters.

He needs a couple more players, but he is happy getting just one more. He really wants a holding mid

Mourinho isn't happy with the squad, then do something about it, don't whinge in public and expect much to change. We have plenty of good players in the squad, it's wrong just to earmark Pogba.

It doesn't help that we're keeping deadwood, Jones, Young, Fellaini etc. I get the whole buy first and sell later ethos, but not practical really. They all need to go.

Another thing that bugged me about this pre-season tour, is the little amount of minutes Mitchel, TFM and Tuanzebe got. For example yesterday Fellaini got a half of football as well as playing the whole game before against Madrid. Why on earth bring Fellaini on again and not give Tuanzebe a full half or TFM? They mayswell leave now if they are going to be treated like that.

They all showed more with their limited minutes than Fellaini ever did in a whole game. It's a joke really.

You know he's already given all his targets to Woodward. There is very little he can do now.

The three are squad players, one of whom is injured.

Never got the impression once tbh he ain't happy with the squad. Just that he wants a couple more. Nothing to see here!

Tbh the only thing I get from that is what I mentioned just now. Pogba is our only player fit to lace Barcelona's boots when it comes to on the ball ability, in Mourinho's opinion.
