The Manchester United Thread

Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira has apologised on social media after having his licence temporarily removed by a judge for driving almost three times over the speed limit.

Levante reported that the 21-year-old, currently on a season-long loan at Valencia from United, was caught by a speeding radar on Monday afternoon driving his Bentley at 148 km/h on an urban area in Valencia where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

Pereira stood before a judge on Tuesday in Valencia and was fined €3,600 (£3,212) as well as having his licence withdrawn for eight months.

Good result in the end, going away in CL is never easy. Puts us in a very nice position after 3 games played, still need to finish the job off but we should do it comfortably.

On to Huddersfield, honestly this is a must win. Forget the draw at Anfield, it means absolutely diddly squat if we don't win this game.
Need to start getting some players back ASAP! Not sure what’s wrong with Rashford or Jones. Think Miki needs a few games out. With the games come by up Lingard should start.

Cant be to bad Jose said he’s willing to play if needed. Expect to have Jones, Rashford, Bailly, Pogba, Fellaini, Rojo back in the next 2 weeks.

Maybe Zlatan as well if reports are to be believed. Apparently hes training at 90% and could be back by the end of the month.

Nice scenes last night with Lukaku and Matic among others comforting the young keeper after the whistle with hugs and what I'd assume to be encouraging words in his ear.

Wouldn't say since he's came. He looked terrific in parts last season, particularly in that winning run before Xmas. He was the game-changer in that spell, our match winner, everyone knew he was the difference, and nobody knew it better than ******* Danny fatboy Rose who left a bit on him after Mkhi skinned and left him for dead. That challenge definitely halted the progress. Had a quiet end to the season, I'll agree that much, and even though he started this campaign like a man on a mission statistically, he's just looked so out of sorts. Careless passes, heavy touches, dispossessed too much, etc. I thought it was just a case of sharpness or something, but if anything he's got sloppier. I noted it up here in gameweek 2 or 3, but said I expected him to up a gear.

Still waiting Henrikh.

All for getting him talking about Mkhitaryan.

Anything to stop him narking about L'pool.

*Edit* Or talking ***** about injuries.

I know we've had this debate before, but if it's true and we want Ozil, I just don't get it.

Yes, he has his qualities, which are obvious. But those qualities are a lot of what our strengths in what we have already are. When you look at his weaknesses it's exactly what we don't need.

I mean, of all things this team needs, someone like Ozil is just someone that doesn't make sense. When you already have the likes of Mkhitaryan, Mata and Pereira hopefully back for next season.

If you give Ozil a functional base, he is almost impossible to stop. We have that in Herrera and Matic. Do that and no one creates chances like he does, not even Silva. A midfield 3 of Matic pogba and Ozil is hard to stop.

Ooooh my pants :P

Apparently Ozil agent said on German radio yesterday we Defo enqired about him in the Summer.

If anything hopefully it'll give Mkhitaryan a kick up the ****. I have plenty of reservations on Ozil, but put him in the situations mkhi has been in and spurned, he makes that final ball more times than not

Been very disappointed with Mkhtaryan throughout his United tenure so far, he started this season relatively well but honestly his statistics were more impressive than his actual performances in my opinion.

He really needs to up his game, would like to see him dropped and Mata come in.

Yeah think Miki has been disappointing last 3/4 games performance wise this season. Dropping him would guarentee Lingard starting on the right.
