Openly said I wouldn't like Ozil, he has a good game every so often but is invisible a lot the time. One of those players who is statistically more impressive than visibly, just like Mkhtaryan this season in many ways.

But more to the point, this squad needs investment in other areas moreso. We need a LB badly right now and there is such a big drop off in quality without Pogba creativity in the midfield.

Jeez, Spurs will be a tough game next week and certainly a big one for both sides. Second best team in England for me atm.
 
I think today, we saw Spurs execute everything Jose wanted to in the bigger picture, just with more quality on the ball, and a more in-sync attack. They allowed Liverpool plenty of possession, and just picked them off ruthlessly. When you think of it, they executed our game-plan, just successfully and in a more aesthetically pleasing manner. Obviously our shape was deeper and more pragmatic, but the gameplan was actually pretty similar if you think about it.

But our players decided on the day to not be able to knit 5 passes together, and instead of Son advancing Kane and penetrating their line, we had Mkhitaryan running around like a headless chicken behind Lukaku, trying nutmegs through closed legs.

You'd have to be absolutely mad not to take Ozil on a free.

That was a large part of the problem though, Spurs are way more aggressive than us and were in a more coherent shape to counter attack. Whereas we weren't, we were too deep with out wide players acting as fullbacks to even initiate counter attacks most of the time was nigh impossible.

Plus to say we don't have the quality or an in sync attack is Jose's fault tbh. Our squad on paper is at least as good if not better than Spurs. Or it should be considering the money spent.

No excuses for me, we should of attacked that Liverpool defence way more than we did.
 
Once Pogba is back it will start ticking again. For now I'd say it's most important to not lose too many points. It isn't easy to replace a 100m player.
 
Looking at the hole Pogba has left, it's why you want Ozil on a free. Gamebreaker. That said, rest of the players were poor
 
Be intersting to see who features and who doesn’t for the u23s tonight.

Luke Shaw left out of the u23s travelling with the squad for the Swansea game.

1-1 great run by Bohui. Who keeps on impressing at all levels. And a nice assist and cool finish by Wilson. We’ve been very good the second half.

Oh great mins later we concede from a corner. Grujic with a free header. 1-2. Oh **** Bohui misses a sitter of a header to level from a free kick. Tried chesting it in instead of headering it :(

1-3 now shocking from Warren and RoShaun at the back. Both left the ball to each other and Wilson just waltzed right through to slot home.

Bohui misses another great chance. Mitchell off injured Dearnley on.

Oh well another loss. Sbragia just keeps on giving....

Man, United's upcoming fixtures look nasty. Spurs, Chelsea, most likely heated game with Newcastle given old Rafa-Jose rivalry, and then Arsenal and City 2 weeks later.
