Southampton is the perfect team to get his goal confidence back they are so demoralised defensively especially with the knowledge that their best defender is off to Liverpool.

So exactly what i said. The teams finished on the same points in 2016. Go back one more year, and you're first. Only the Moyes year ***** the average, other than that there is only 3 wins a season between them in all of those years bar Moyes.

Could have easy rested him today, any of those will do.. Just seems odd to complain you need to rest him, and then throw into a what should be a comfortable home win. I'd have put his fitness first, not point him getting confidence today to get benched coz hes need the rest again.. I'd have gone the other way.

More importantly, it's not like they desperately need to win or something. The title is gone, they're in a top4 battle now. Seems silly to risk a player who's maybe not feeling well.
 
So many players not good enough to play for United. They need to ship those players away asap.
 
Poor again from Rashford. Just shoot ffs! Now demonstrating his 50 pence head. Great clearance though, just wrong box :)

How was that not a pen. And I’ve never seen a team waste so many attacking opportunities than us. Shaw and Young been good so far.
 
Lol only time we put in a good cross and Miki does something good. Lingard misses a sitter. Such a waste watching Pogba play so deep!
 
Such a shame when your players cant make the final pass, and when they do, there's no one to finish it.
 
Such a frustrating half. Played ok. Should be 3 up and had a peno. Miki needs to come off. Final pass, finishing, crossing awful!
 
Both Miki and Rashford have been dire. Ideally need to drop both, Martial should get a solid run in with Shaw on the left. Although, Shaw will probably be dropped again once Valencia is fit. And god, I've only ever seen Matic send the ball to the third row. :/
 
Can't wait to get someone like Poch, Sarri or Tuchel. Our league season is over, just watching over a beer for the banter :)
 
For what its worth, Mourinho has progressed us so much in terms of squad rebuilding, deprogramming that horrid LVG philosophy, making us relevant in the league again, etc. But I just think we need a new man to take us to the next level again in this modern age. Someone capable of matching Pep with a fire with fire approach and become more expansive.

Sarri for me. Napoli have been fantastic this season. And I think he’s ready to manage one of the big clubs in European football. Loved watching them this season. Don’t think Tuchel is good enough and Poch not proved enough yet for me especially in the big games.
