The Manchester United Thread

Dont even start... How many bad fouls have FA let slip for you. And for specific game against spurs you could see how hard some fouls where against Spurs, especially against Son, **** your guys hacked him from every side (not surprising from Mou side).

Seems yeah a **** move(dosent seem like neck grabbing just pushing from there), and if is punished then both should get it, you can see Herrera going in for provoking and even seems like stepping on his leg.

All in all, ref and FA have missed too much this year. Fear of giving reds in early games and at all...
It seems to go into other leagues also where refs are too reliant on VAR.

#MUFC trio Mason Greenwood, Jimmy Garner and Ethan Laird have all been named in @England's U17 squad for the Algarve Tournament later this month. Congrats, guys!

Mourinho confirms Bailly and Zlatan will be back this month. Fellaini not as bad as reported. Will only be out a few weeks. Says he knows nothing about Zlatan wanting a move to the MLS.

The only reason to be excited for todays game... Sanchez's debut at Old Trafford!

Lets hope he can light the place up and get a goal on his debut.

The PL is gone, we all know it, but we still need to be careful... only 5 points from 5th place and we don't want to take top 4 for granted.

But lets go all out for FA Cup and CL glory this season!

What do people make of our CL chances this season?

I'm a bit torn, on one hand I think we're not good enough to win the whole thing, but on the other hand I think now is as good time as ever for us with no standout winners this year.

Think we can do well, be very disappointed if we don't get past Sevilla.

Unless he opens it up, slim. This is a far higher standard than what Utd mostly stumbled through the Europa and the old European tactics of keeping it tight are becoming less and less the later rounds with the attacking ethos and highest calibre of opposition you face. You're just not built/ setup for the big games under him.

I wouldn't underestimate Sevilla either. Particularly out there.

Would imagine Utd will hammer Huddersfield later.

As utterly dominant as L’pool were Tuesday, Huddersfield were abysmal. The worst side we’ve faced in many a year. Just nothing. They’re on that slippery slope.

Wagners best ploy today is to treat it as their last ‘free game’, and try keep the score down to as little as possible not add to a joint league worst goal difference. Then start again hard from next Sat’day.

If we play a 3 man midfield we can go very deep, depending on the luck of the draw.

1-0 up Garner with a tidy finish from CM. Derby should be down to 10 men after a ridiculous lung at knee height :O Also stone wall peno turned down! Garner passing range and ability to dictate tempo is absolutely class.

Not quite true. Outside of City, Barca, Napoli; they all keep it tight. That hasn't changed.

Sevilla are very good at home, absolutely average away.

Much as he might drop players today, Jose needs to move back to 4-3-3 in those games. And he needs to play that if he wants any real chance in Europe. Anything else will see us knocked out

They’re also all far more attack minded than you lads are though. All relative in a two leg shoot-out.

All the best Sevilla the next round anyways. Had enough of them, and most every top Spanish club for that matter, and their P taking exploitation. (Having it ourselves with Porto too this round.). Sooner they’re out the better. And I sincerely hope anyone out there gets far better treatment off the Seville police than the last three English clubs have out there.

Greenwood makes it 2-0 just before HT. Skins 2 players in the box with a lovely bit of skill and drills it under the keeper.

7gls 3 assists in 9 starts for Greenwood so far :)

Great start to the second half by Utd. Could of added a 3 on a couple of occasions. Lovely one touch pass and move. Baars off with a shoulder injury after a heavy fall. Utd top scorer on Burkart.

3-0 great counter goal. Ramanzani with a great run forcing the GK into a good stop. Deadly Burkart with the rebound to tap in.

This team are great to watch. Creating chances at will now. Should be more in this.

Oconner off for new signing Bernard. And Garner off for Galbraith.

4-1 Derby score. Then seconds later Burkart burns the FB on the break to grab a second good assist by Puigmal. New signing Bernard makes a great goal scoring challenge.

WOW 5-1 Greenwood with a second and Puigmal with a second assist in as many mins. That was Barca style play that on the edge of there box.

FFS 5-3 Galbraith gives the ball away with a poor clearence. Then 3 mins later GK fumbles a cross. Joke stuff and McKenna is fuming!

6-3 Burkart again. He’s an assassin in front of goal.

Looks like 4-2-3-1 again.... really don't see much in McTominay every time i watch him.

Dont get why Martial is on the bench, Sanchez signing totally pointless if Jose going to totally negate Martial by using Sanchez on left.

Could be a long day if we set up as it looks.

Dont see a problem with the team tbh. 4231 at home to Huddersfield is ok. Not against the likes of Spurs. McTominey has been good when played. Not spectacular but keeps possession and puts in tackles and interceptions. Much like Fletcher use to do. In fact he’s better than Fletcher at the same age by a distance!
