The Manchester United Thread

From Various reports- Jose Mourinho hires Sampdoria fitness coach Stefano Rapetti as one of three replacements for outgoing assistant manager Rui Faria.

..... If we don't sign 3 or 4 world class players, will be hard to compete next season.

The players you have on the books already are not Utd's biggest problem.

The single worst thing that could have happened from all standpoints was Chelsea doing a Mourinho job on Mourinho yesterday. It'll just reinforce his antwacky view that that's the way to win.

I think both are big problems. Since Ferguson left, we signed two type of players: either a overpriced star that we didn't have a clue how to play, but signed anyway to show how big of a player we still are in the market (Mata, Di Maria, Pogba), or players that can do a job, but can't be the foundation of a team (Blind, Darmian, Herrera, Fellaini, Rojo, Schneiderlin). So we ended up with a squad full of holes ( FB, CB, CM).

In another hand, we have no ideia of what to do with a football, and that's up to Mourinho, although it's worth to notice that we didn't have a clue with Moyes and LVG too.

Best points / goals / conceded record since Fergie left
12 more points, 7 more wins and another cup final.. on last season.

decent enough progress.

Honestly think Mourinho is looking to change things. Hence the restructuring of his coaching staff. And he seriously needs a clear out. Then next season he can’t hide behind anything!

god i hope so
Was not to sure. But after Di Marzio reported he’s not renewing. Lots of sources in Belgium, Italy, England all saying he rejected the last offer and know AC Milan have made an official offer. Looks like he could be on the way out.

Never mind Fellaini, whispers arising Pogba could be weighing up his options?

No way is Pogba leaving. Expect everyone to leave in the coming days. Dressing room unrest. Mourinho getting sacked blah blah!

Just a little update from the ICGT Cup the u19s are playing in atm-

Not much information here - so I will add a bit.

United beat Uitgeest (the hosts) 2-0.
United then beat Palmeiras 1-0 before drawing 0-0 with AZ in the final game.
Goals scored by Hamilton, Greenwood and Sang.

Semifinal against Red Bull Brasil tomorrow. The beat Nec 1-0 Before drawing 0-0 against Real Madrid and Volendam. Real Madrid play AZ in the other semi

can you blame him playing for some 1 who has no clue how to get the best out of him and others

I'd be more concerned about how he treats people.

His first spell in England, you never heard one player say a bad word about him. No matter how badly they F up, they always knew he had their back publicly. No doubt he ripped them a new one in public but he'd defend them to the hilt in public. You want to give everything for a man that will stand up and protect you. Then he went back over to Europe and everything changed ..... The amount of players he regularly throws under the bus now just blows my mind. How any manager expects lads to go out and give everything for them when they've done that to their players or their mates the changies is beyond me.

iHis idea of man-management is certainly ..... something.

What is more unbeliveable: that we offered Fellaini THREE contracts or the fact that he refused them all?

If reports are to be believed, I'll raise you that to the staggering situation of AC Milan and Utd battling each other for his signature.

Oh how the mighty have fallen and all that.

Milan's transfer windows have been consistently awful for about a decade now, Bonucci aside.
