Yeah thinking the same regarding Martial. I hope we don’t sign Bonnucci unless we play a back 3. He’s been class on the ball but any bit of decent movement in and around him and he’s looked as good and as quick Mertasacker defensively.

Toby for me. Bonnucci was no where near the player he was at Juve last season. Can only see him getting worse and not suiting to the prem!

If we're paying similar for Aldeweireld or Maguire, I'd personally prefer the latter, 5 years more in him and not far off the level already. Can probably surpass Aldeweireld and we've seen what Jose can do with defenders like Maguire before.

We need a real demanding presence at the back, especially in the box at set pieces defensively and attacking we've lacked for ages. Maguire ticks all the boxes for us, can play out from the back, dribbles with the ball more than any defender with completed dribbles last season in PL in terms of CB.

There's lots I like. Apart from the price. And if we're paying that much, get the chuckle brothers out ffs. Need to keep one of Smalling Jones Rojo as the 4th defender annoyingly though. Maguire bailly lindelof 4th tuanzebe
