The Manchester United Thread

Tbh it’s been a really enjoyable friendly. Lots of challenges and intensity. Pool obviously been better. But impressed with Tuanzebe, Periera and Sanchez so far. Good job we have bags of pace at the back!

When is the ref going to book Klaven? That has been 3 hard fouls he has had on Sanchez without seeing yellow. If that is the way it is going to be then the United players should start hacking Mane's and Salah's ankles.

Why only 2 subs! I know it’s a friendly but it’s really ******* me off! Complains about lack of players for start of season then continues to play available players for Leicester for nearly the whole tour! Tired silly challenge from Herrera!

Pretty much none of that starting 11 I want to see much this season, apart from Pereira, Bailly and Sanchez really.

Why is Jose even using 3 at the back.... like formation that doesn't suit us at all with our lack of quality defenders.

No idea about 3 at the back. Maybe trying to offer a bit of cover for our younger CBs. But I agree. The only thing that annoyed me and in the last game is the reluctance to use any subs. We were obviously struggling from about 60 mins.

Wish Woodward would get his finger out and get some signings in as well as players out the door.

You have players like Darmian who say they want to leave, Smalling and Jones who have been shocking for years now. Why are we not getting rid of deadwood quicker??

I know it'a a nothing game, but it still worries me how we've only had like 3 shots in that game and the style of football was as dire as ever under Mourinho.

This season is massive but can't help but feel this team won't be winning much of anything this season unless we sign players and Mourinho starts using them better. Unfortunately the latter doesn't seem to be happening.

It's embarrassing if we start playing Pereira, Fred and Pogba in a midfield, but the approach is 10 behind the ball.

They virtually had a full team, we're missing Matic, Pogba, Lukaku, Valencia, Lingard/Rashford, potentially a new LB, etc.

There's nothing to make of it. Minutes in the legs. I've seen us play jawdropping in pre-season (under LVG mainly) and be shocking in come the real deal. Chill mate

Perfectly chilled, but lets be realistic, we're not winning anything worth winning without two good signings before window shuts.

Why the **** is Jose calling out players after a pre-season friendly? He's grinds me sometimes man. Treating it like a CL final defeat.

Thats him. What’s more **** poor is him walking straight off with all the players. There’s over 101 frigging K there. Many seeing Utd live the first time in their life. At the very least stay on the end and the thank them/ give them something. Missing the whole point of a tour and what it should be all about. Rewarding the World wide support.

Just knew he would do that, hope this isn't the 3rd season meltdown... everyone knows he gets agitated when things start going against him. If Woody doesn't deliver his signings before window shuts, we could be in for a miserable Mourinho. (Even more than usual).

Could be a very interesting transfer deadline day at this rate, one of the busiest for a long time for all PL clubs.
