The Manchester United Thread

Daily Mail. Says it all.

To be fair, not all the Mail's Sports writers are bad. I like Joe Bernstein for example. It's a bit like labelling all of the Guardian **** because of the rubbish that the likes of Daniel Taylor and Richard Williams spew out. Every paper has bad writers and every paper prints reams of bullshit and the Mail isn't all bad...

It looks like Moura is going to PSG, we lost him like we lost Hazard.
What do you think guys, will United do anymore signings this summer?

No. We lost Hazard. Not Moura. We simply wont match PSG offer.

It's a shame money counts for more than history and culture of a club. If Moura would rather play for PSG in a terrible French league just for money then so be it.

I doubt we will do much else, Moura has only really been the one linked with us and if he goes PSG that will most likely be it.

He'd be playing alongside brilliant players though. PSG are a club on the rise and will be an exciting prospect this season.

United do not lack big players: Nani, Rooney, Vidic, Evra, Scholes (ok he is old but one of the best ever CM's).

What makes French league terrible? It's on the rise and unless italian clubs take their heads out of their ***** will be top 3 league in world by 2016/17.

PSG have many advantages besides the money for Moura. Also United weren't willing to offer enough for Sao Paulo so it isn't Moura's fault.

I'll give you Rooney, and Vidic (before the injury, haven't seen him since) as truly world class. Scholes is getting a bit to old to be still considered in that bracket, no offence to him. But Evra? In decline.

Totally understandable why he'd want to join PSG, if they consistently buy great players.

But that isnt what he said, United certainly dont lack big players. I'd also add Kagawa and Valencia to that list, the latter being arguably the best out and out right winger in Europe.

Glad if he goes to PSG, dont see the need to buy him anyway.

Sorry how is this a shame?

Scholes oozes class on the ball, he just cannot run as much as before. He has been consistently hitting that ridiculous long diagonal since he starting playing for United, few in football can do it with such unerring accuracy, in my biased United fan eyes he is still world class

Im sure fergie still has targets in mind he is great at keeping these things on thus hush in fergie i trust!

I disagreed with him on the names he mentioned, Evra especially. Rooney and Vidic definitley world class and two of the best on the planet.

And I don't think Kagawa and Valencia, match up to some of PSG's signings like Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.

I'm not saying he's not brilliant, I agree with everything you say (which is why i said no offence to him). I meant to say he's still a top top player, but I wouldn't consider him to be the very best in the world in his position (that's what I'd consider world class). I'd say Xavi, Iniesta and Pirlo pip him to that post.

Paul Scholes was a truly outstanding player. One of the best I've ever seen. Still pretty good from what I can see.

Mentally and technically just as good, only his legs letting him down. And we lack the mobile aggressve players to protect him the way Juve and Italy protect Pirlo.

So rumors about signing medical. Its very clear that Fergie don't see CM as our weak spot. He said we have problems at CM and Carrick is the key. So it's obvious that he thinks Cleverley, Anderson, Scholes, Giggs are good enough to steer the ship this season.

One more transfer window with no CM signing. More wingers and strikers please.

Who is that complete player plays for Juve, his name starts with V and moved from Leverkusen to Juve for just around 10 Million. Imagine how good we would have been had we signed that player :(
