The Manchester United Thread

Read that Utd's shares has dropped to less than $5 a share. Valuing the club at £800 Million apparently. \

On a football note I can see Utd failing in Europe again this year, and City going much further in competition.

Another financial site put a fair value on them at $5, in reality they've risen slightly today. Currently at $14.24.

$10 is a much fairer value, IMO, from the link I posted a few pages ago.

Good, that will cause all sorts of trouble for the Glazers.

Agree about United if we pick up any sort of injury to Carrick, but less about City. Mancini is notably average in the Champions League.

Indeed. Finished miles ahead of Chelsea in Premier League, and yet....who won the CL final? And again I don't expect them to win it this time around

800m? thought they leveraged the club for over a bil when they originally bought it. And yes, sooner they sell up the better, or get forced to, before they get any brand damage.

They bought it for around 800 million from what I've read.

Rumours of welbeck signing new deal worth 75k p/w. I think he has a lot of potential as well as current ability but i think that's to high a wage for him right now in his career

Maybe Fergie is getting tired of losing his young stars to people that want to pay them more.

Thats the amount of money you have to pay nowadays to keep such players.. Especially if you intent to sign him to a long-term contract and Welbeck knows its the next 5 years where he should technically be earning the best money of his career at the top level

BREAKING: 18-year-old Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez has arrived at Bridgewater Hospital ahead of a £4m move to Manchester United#MUFC

Angelo Henriquez has Manchester United medical | Mail Online

Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Henriquez (Ok he won't make an impression straight away). But why the **** do we need Van Persie.

Kagawa plays best off the striker, so unless we play something like a 4-3-3 or something, how the **** does Van Persie fit in. I truely hope we do not make Kagawa go into another position like we did with Anderson.

Edit: I forgot poor old Berbatov as well.

Although I agree we don't need Van Persie, the prospect of him and Rooney upfront is pretty exciting.

When you consider it would probably mean Kagawa plays deeper unless we play something like idk say 4-2-1-3, not to mention the money could be spent on someone like Sahin, Moutinho, it is a complete waste of money.

Then not to mention it would stall all our strikers progress such as Hernandez and Welbeck.
