5 seasons? He was good at Bremen but he's only really been world class since the world cup, and he can be quite inconsistent at times. Japanese football might not be fantastic, but Shinji still performed well there, he instantly adapted to the Bundesliga and played a key role in back-to-back title wins and it looks like he's going to put a key player for United too. Bratone doesn't need to calm down, it's not like he compared Bebe to ****** Messi....Kagawa is very much up there with the best #10s in football, he's brilliant.
You over-rate Kagawa and under-rate Ozil a tad both ways. Ozil can be inconsistent but on his day he is one of the best #10s in the world simple as. Kagawa was excellent in the Bundesliga and played very well today although its slightly premature to call him one of the best in the world... Lets wait and see how he does in the English game. He is certainly very talented though

Must say I was Impressed with Anderson & Rafael today, I criticise them an awful lot but credit where it's due they were both fantastic.
Rafa as always was good going forward. Still needs to improve defensively but its not beyond him. Anderson...never doubted his ability. Its doing it weekly and staying fit!
U over-rate the English game and under-rate the German game a tad both ways
Even in the extra time Rafael made overlapping run, I was so ****** off, was thinking WTF is he doing there when we have only one goal lead. He is a very good attacker though, glad he scored and also Evra made one assist. Good day for our fullbacks.
Overlapping runs?? U can take the boy out off Brazil but you can't take the Brazil out off the boy!

He played badly against Everton. Fergie just trying to give Rooney a wake up call that he isn't a first teamer just because of his reputation but you have to earn it.
Specially now that we have RVP who is as good as Rooney. Maybe not as good all rounder as Rooney, but certainly as good a scorer.
I think RVP can contribute just as much to the team as Rooney can on their good days. RVP's goal on Saturday was outstanding, we need to offload Berbatov though.
To be fair RVP has created the most assists out of any player in the league since 2008 afaik, which is a pretty good stat considering how terribly poor Arsenal players are at tucking away chances compared to some other teams. Calling him just a good finisher is a shame, as he offers a lot more from corners/free kicks and those little flicks he seems to like in the box. It's fair for Rooney though, a wake up call is prob great for him, especially with Kagawa able and willing to play in the provider slot.

Read and heard a few stories linking Rooney with an exit in January, apparently SAF is getting fed up with him? Thought it might be worth bringing up for discussion, even if it isn't true. I personally don't see any truth in him leaving, but it wouldn't suprise me if SAF was a little frustrated with him: He didn't look at his best against Everton, and he looked a little overweight. Coupled with that his actions have been detrimental to the club a few times (the fiasco with wanting a move away, which led to the new contract, and going on a night out last years boxing day before the match on new years day, when he was told not to). May just be a case of a kick up the backside to get the best form out of him, and the long lay off may help achieve that.

Wouldn't believe that story for a second. Regards to his performance, it's the first couple of matches, and there's still other players who are still working back to full fitness, and are still a tad bit rusty. This'll disappear sharpish. Even though I don't support Utd, I think rooney is a tremondous player and think it would be a horrific idea to let him go. couldn't imagine the match commentary without Rooney's name being mentioned. He'll still be a Utd player though
