The Manchester United Thread

Been held back by injuries and Evra. Big year ahead of him. Agree about Dawson and Carvalho, especially if they have Julio Cesar organising from between the sticks.

You rate Julio Cesar? He's been in decline since the treble season, can see why Inter were so desperate to get rid of him this summer.

Think this discussion was brought up before on here. Cesar in huge decline, but good for a club like QPR.

I rate his organisation, his overall keeping is something else.

Team vs Spurs:- Linderguaard,wooton,evans,keane,buttner,tunnicliffe,fletcher,powell,brady,king,macheda

Goal after 1min from macheda was lucky tbh both sides have missed some great chances so far.Evans looks ok should be fine for weekend, buttner looking steady so far making good runs forward looks very quick and solid defencive wise. Paddy ask fletcher when will be in first team and fletcher said wants to play now, it is now 10hrs since reserves conceded a goal.

Game finished 2-1 united. 2nd half was decent buttner made quality clearence off line just after whistle then we went up other end and got penno for foul on powell macheda tucked it away nicely. linderguaard made world class doulble save to keep us infront, then they got soft penno was shocking really! Subs lingaard-brady,cole-macheda,thorpe-king.

That would explain it.

Reckon Berba will do well for Fulham, he's still such a classy player. Love watching him, tank of a player.

Yeah, just need to sort out a midfield that can actually give him some service IF he joins. Quite a steal too, was suppose willing to accept 32k euros a week in Florence so can't imagine we will have offered much more. I shall wait until West Ham and QPR declare their interest before I get excited though. Still not sure we've got our a man. We rarely sign these proven premier league striker 20 goal a season types.

Wow Berbatov could be a revelation for Fulham. As for West Ham and QPR... I'm not so sure. Would be a waste of his talent.

I think calling someone who's spent half a decade as a top-class striker in the Premier League a 'revelation' might be pushing it a bit. :P

Wonder how he'll fit in. The brain to Petric's brawn?

The issue is Petric is more of a brain than a brawn. Both he and Berba are excellent technical strikers. A far cry from Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson fo'sure.
